Yes it is completely allowed. You would have an advanced driver with you all throughout the day.

Yes, its a great place to do it for your first time. You can get lots of help from experienced drivers that understand out cars. And for the $$ you'll get more track time than you will want to use. The track is great for 1st timers too no dangerous turns with lots of room for run-off.

Awesome, thanks guys! Really excited for this. Been wanting to try it forever and I finally just got a daily driver and NG is in my hometown.
Now just need to buy wheels/tires, align the car, and install my new trans/tc/300M/poly mounts stuff in the 1-2 weeks I have off school lol
One more question: do I need to bring my own helmet or are there typical loaners?

I suggest at least attending an instructed HPDE or school that has classroom instruction. We do not have the time to actually instruct beginners properly on how to take a turn properly, flag training, safe passing procedures, and how to keep your "eyes out". No it's not required but you'll have more fun enjoying driving than trying to take in 50 things at once since you will be overwhelmed your first time on the track.
[edit]: in 2015 you'll have to have an SA-2005 or newer helmet.
