LOL, yeah the bar is fine. Its up on the other side of the embankment. Water would have to be up to my back door before the bar was in any danger and even then it might not be over the edge on that side. :p

We've had some bad flooding around here. An hour or so South going down the turnpike a river overflowed onto the turnpike. In one city the estimated loss of crops is about $100,000. We needed rain but not like this all at once.

The biggest issue is that the ground was still saturated from a ton of rain we got two weeks ago. What I didn't mention is that when I left the house some of the roads had several inches of water on them. The runoff was flowing so fast in some areas it looked like a water main break.
Today I went to get the electric sander out of my basement for a project I am doing and saw water laying on the bottom step outside the door. Instant thought is "This isn't good." Pushed the door open to find 8 inches of water throughout the basement.
Called the landlord, he showed up with a couple different sump pumps and started getting it drained. Once we got so low he had to switch to a different pump and we realized water is still coming in from somewhere. Its not severe but its still coming in. Even though there isn't any real standing water I still have the pump running and its constantly pumping water out. Looks like its seeping in around the foundation.
Had I not found it when I did there is a possibility I would have had well over a foot of water down there.
