I hope she had the extra insurance to cover it. We do that with all of our cars. I couldn't imagine the pay out on my satin black car since it's a 91 base 3000GT without and "agreed value" policy :lol:Quote:

The frame was cut up and quickly disposed of because that's what chop shops do. Just the Motec EMS, Tilton clutch, Penske suspension and PTE 8891 were worth 20k street-value. Definitely heartbreaking - almost like a death in the community. That car (regularly street driven, BTW) went 8.5 @ 176 at WCF with diff issues and it sounded like they were going to make a run for the record. According to Jess it went quicker and faster last Sunday and then popped a freeze plug out of the block which shut them down for the day. Darin's shop was full so they parked it over night at her condo and sometime between 10pm and 4am at was whisked away; evidently flat-bedded with the slicks and skinnies still on it.
