I wasn't sure where to post this, but this seemed like the most related forum. Anyway, I was cleaning the VR-4 when I, on a whim, looked under the shift boot. I found this:

it's a bushing. there are similar ones on my atx which keep my shifter from moving from side to side. idk what purpose it serves on your vr4.
This is the bush that slides over the stop pin. There is a pin on the shifter that limits the movement. This rubber piece slides over it. # 24102 in this picture.

Can't seem find it on Cherry Hill's site though. Guess I'll have to ask my dealer about it. I'm assuming that 24102 is the part number?
