| The 2nd GTO I've owned, this one started as a non-turbo AWD which evolved to be a 475 BHP, high-compression forged motor, hybrid turboed, caged trackday toy. A few near misses on the roads and tracks (including a crash at the Nurburgring) and I decided to take it permanently off the road as a dedicated track race car. Entered in the Nippon I race in ~5 rounds a year, each round consisting of 15min qualifying and two 15min races, with grids of 30-45 cars on track together. Far too many modifications to list, but all based towards handling and weight saving. Car currently weighs in at 3500 lbs with driver on board (I weigh 200lb), whilst being fully MSA UK competition rules compliant. We've identified 350 lbs of weight saving to be done throughout this season and into the winter break. Timesheets are available online at the TSL timing website.
