| I wanted a vr4 from the day I first saw one. It was my dream car and as it turned out, an achievable goal to own. My first car was a 1989 Escort GT and it didn't take long to feel the need for speed. I remember perfecting the 'J turn' in high school and knew I needed something with more performance to satisfy my driving needs. A few years later I saw an add in the local paper with the car I have today for sale. It was the biggest purchase I had ever made - $12,500! I remember getting approved for the loan and taking it for a test drive, I was hooked! there was no way I wasn't getting it now. I bought it from the original owner with just over 100,000 miles on it and bone stock. of course it didn't stay that way for long, once I found out the things people were doing with them. I slowly put more upgrades on it for about 10 years to make it what it is today, a 600 horse power rocket that feels like an airplane taking off when you unleash the power it has by holding the skinny pedal down! Of course many of you reading this know all to well I like to do everything fast, even if I could make a faster time by slowing down for a corner I still have more fun trying to just control a slide while keeping the turbos spooled as much as possible.
