| This car had been abandoned for over 18 months at my condominium complex in San Diego. I purchased it from the owner in Jan 2007, after he had moved to the East Coast. It's been a three year project in the making, due to me going on back to back deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq, and being stationed away from my home San Diego, at Lemoore, CA. It's been a great partnership with Deftracing, Extreme Dimensions, Killerglass, C&A Automotive, Skillard Designs, and Nice & Easy Body Shop in San Diego. This car has been redone from the inside out, and top to bottom! I appreciate the fact that I'm finally able to enjoy this car! I retired from the Navy, and relocated from San Diego, CA to Dallas, TX in June 2011. I have gotten into the car show scene there. In 2011: - Won "Best Of Show" at the All Hands Car Show at Naval Base San Diego held on April 17th! - Won "Best of Show" for car of the '90's, "Class Winner" and "Best Import" at the Hooters Mequite Car Show on July 16th! - Won "Best Mitsubishi" at the Texas Heat Wave car show held in Austin, TX July 22-24th! - The car was staged at the Killerglass booth at the XDC/REMIX car show held at Fort Worth, TX on September 24th! - Won "Best of Show", "Best 3000GT" and "Nicest Engine Bay" at the 9th Annual Texas 3S Gathering October 7-9th! - Won 3rd Place in the Mitsubishi Class at WEKFEST Dallas October 15th! - Won "Best Mitsubishi" at Import Face Off in Ennis, TX November 13th! In 2012: - Won "Best Sport Compact" at a local car show in North Richland Hills, TX on April 7th! - Won "Hottest Mitsubishi" and 4th Place "Hottest 2 Door Wild" at HIN Texas at Fort Worth, TX on September 22nd! In 2013: - Won "Best Mitsubishi" at Import Face Off in Ennis, TX April 7th! - Won "Best Mitsubishi" and "Best Display" at Import Face Off in Noble, OK April 14th! - Won "Best in Show" at M.O.D. 2013, hosted by Don Herring Mitsubishi Irving, TX, on June 8th! I think it's great to bring a 3S to car shows, since you don't see too many of them in show quality condition very often. Being able to consistently attend car shows, and do well, is testament to my dedication to the platform.
