So... My original post said I was getting a new engine; that fell through the floor. I managed to pick up an engine in Pennsylvania, though. Rebuilt with a measly 500 miles on it. Sounds like a deal to me! Haha.

Over the past couple months, I've gotten the original engine/transmission off the subframe(Redneck style, again...), and started work on getting the new shell painted; I stripped down, cleaned, and totally repainted the subframe. Looks brand spankin' new! I've got some new parts in.

Anyway, here are some pictures of where we are at:

Like I said, a little redneck, since the current engine hoist is holding something that I find to be worth a bit more money. =P

And the beast is finally out of the garage! She's no longer a total jackstand queen!

(Excuse my rather rude thumb. =P)

We did it kind of red-neck, but it worked like a friggin' charm.

Basically:

Plus:

Equals:

Like I said; A little redneck, but success! Haha.

Anyway, the build(mechanically) has advanced, also.
- New Long block(Upgrade from 2 bolt to 4 bolt from Spartan Engines(3 year/Unlimited mile warranty)
- A Pair of 15G Turbos
- 550CC Injectors
- Denso Fuel Pump
- MAFT Pro - All connections for Speed Density/Boost Controller/Etc.
- No name AFPR
- Glowshift Gauges(Boost/Oil Pressure/Water Temp)
- AEM UEGO Wideband

Unfortunately, the original deal I had with my painter fell through as he turned out to be nothing but an unreliable drunk. So, I'm currently looking for a new painter.

Thanks for reading guys, disassembly of the original engine has started(as the remanned long block is supposed to arrive on Wednesday,) today! I hate heat shields; They're a pain in the ass to get off, even with the engine out of the car! :lo5l:

After coming back from my trip to Missouri to pick up a really nice stealth shell, I've started the process of everything.

We tore the subframe out of the shell, and dropped the front out of the bottom, lifted the stealth shell, and pulled it out.

We've started painting the engine bay the end color that the car will be..

BLAMO!

Atomic Orange from GM's Corvette's. :w00t:

Unfortunately, my family friend that is going to be doing the paint job got in an accident this past Friday and is recovering. He's alive and just a bit swollen, but he will be back to work in a few days.

I decided to jack up the totaled stealth and drain the oil. Boy oh boy. Was not fun to find some metal shavings inside the oil, but it was to be expected, as the engine was giving us trimmings for the past few oil changes. We will hopefully start dropping this engine soon, in which we'll start the engine/tranny rebuild(reverse doesn't like to go in every so often, so, we're fixing the bitch!)

I think, I've finally decided on the final look of the car. My plans ultimately will be:
Stealth middle section(side skirts/sail panels) with a 2nd gen 3000GT front end, 2nd gen stealth rear bumper with the stealth taillights, and the current wing.

Atomic orange on EVERYTHING, but the hood/roof/rear hatch's windshield wiper area, with the 2nd gen headlights robo-modded black.

Opinions?

As some may have known, a bit over a month ago I flipped my Stealth, and it was at that point, beyond repair.

With some quick thinking, I didn't call the insurance company and report the accident; it was by myself, and there was no property damage. Good. Now I just lack a car..

The accident:

There's a few pictures to fuel the imagination. It was bad, the roof was smashed down to the point where I couldn't sit in the car... And I'm not a basketball player by any means.

Looking around, I start pulling things off, body panels mostly at first, along with the busted headlight. Then finally, we pulled out the windshield(ouch.. Need thicker leather gloves next time.)

After a day, I had removed everything needed to be removed but the front bumper, and a few things I simply can't(the rear quarter panel and door skins.)

Amazingly, the rear hatch stayed intact and sustained no damage, a couple small pieces of the "frame" is tweaked(mainly the roof section.) I buy a cheap portapower online, $100 for a 10-ton portapower? Steal. Well. It was. Midway through popping up the roof(Yeah, it was bending back into place, EASILY!) the roof popped all the way out and the jack overextended and blew a ring. Well. Called up the company, and they're sending me another.

So, after some searching around, I found the perfect deal; $750.. and an entire Stealth RT/TT shell, with any pieces off a few other cars that I want.. The only problem? It's in Missouri! I'm in New York! We all know what that means... ROAD TRIP! Getting a hold of my father, we decide to take my mother's SUV, and drive 1300 miles each way, to grab this shell.. This rolling chassis. After a few hiccups(and a near death experience thanks to the welcoming weather of Missouri's 60mph+ winds and hail,) we make it there, get the shell, and get it back.

Lucky for us, the trip home was smooth.. And that's where it sits at the moment.

I have my totaled car, which has no real frame damage to it besides the roof, and the engine/transmission is perfectly intact, with a shell of everything I've always wanted on my Stealth..
(The front bumper is not on the car at the moment, since we towbar'd it, it has the 95 3000GT Front End..)

So.. How do you feel about the wing on the stealth? :O
