Well, I just bought this and have read a ton of good reviews from fellow 3/Sr's and my GT-pro one is pretty much not very effiecent and has a big hole now lol. So I just wanted to see what you guys thought. All I needed was the core and figured Id give it a shot. Eh if it doesnt do to well, then ill get another one. Those fins look awfully far apart, on a really good intercooler, they'll be woven insanely close together. I think it'll get the job done though.

We run them all of the time. They haven't held us back on making the normal 400-425 awhp on 16t pump gas cars.

I'd fix your old core

Did the piping have a hole or holes? Or was it just the core? If it was the core, I would have just replaced that with a beefier one and kept the piping.

Same piping new core. My gtpro would cost more to fix it.

yeah but the ebay cores suck. You are going backwards.

Its not the best core. However, it was on my 11 sec fwd tt and on my 10 and 9 sec talons. If running e85, I dont think you need to spend the big money on the fmic core. I would buy it again and again. I bought it for 79 bucks and it was on 3 cars and the cars performed GREAT. So like I said, the core is on the low end of efficiency but more than enough to fulfill your needs.

You can see it in both pics in my signature. It jumped from car to car like a whore.

smaller than the one im getting, basically same bar and fin spacing and setup as the cxracing....and it has a HUGE hole in it :)

yeah, based on everything I've read, these cores suck pretty bad, but I've essentially got the exact same one on my car... I would never recommend it, but that's not based on anything scientific.

Custom designed by Bell Intercoolers. 31"x12"x4.5". Hard to see, but primary differences are fin density and dual 2.5" inlets with a plate separating the intercooler. The plate effectively makes it two intercoolers, one on top of the other. Cost a good bit more than the CXRacing unit, but Bell guarantees it is the best air to air IC you can fit on the stock 3000GT.
