Just a heads up to you IT people out there. GoDaddy.com's DNS servers are down due to a DNS attack.
So anyone that has a domain name registered with them, you will not ba able to access your site unless you have a dedicated IP.

The clients I have that used GoDaddy as a registrar are still working. They are not hosted with GoDaddy (ew, who would ever do that). :p

We had a handful of clients report the outage (of 7000+). It was most likely only 1 DNS node they took down seeing how sporadic the outage was. Started at 10am PT and looks to have cleared up 3-4pm PT.

Have any of you guys had much experience with other registrars?
Most of the time I recommend GD for their discounts every now and again, and I've rarely had problems with them as far as registrations go. I am kind of curious about the others though.

we have about 700 domains registered with them, but do not use their dns or other services because they suck.
They are good at being registrars though and we have never had any problems other than their interface is geared so hard to sell you more domains it can be non intuitive to manage the ones you have.

I received a 1 month credit for my account. I haven't bothered with my website because I just haven't gotten around to it and apparently mine was down.
