After being a gorgeous lawn ornament for 3 years. I should finally have my car running for ECG 2011...making it the first time I will attend ECG with a 3S...after not having gone the last two years regretfully :(

This year should be great, I will be in on sponsorship probably, I know Ray Pampena was impressed with things last year and expressed his desire to sponsor, GZP is close by and also Dejon is up here now so that's a fair amount of shops to back it.

Problem is she knows ECG is around her B-Day. Its been that way the last three years. I have taken her to the OC beach the last few years for her B-Day, then made another beach trip for ECG. Kinda become a bit of a tradition. Plus I start ranting on about ECG the closer it gets to the gathering. I wouldn't be able to play it off. Also, after the last ECG, she started saying how she looks forward to the next one, cause she had so much fun sitting in a parking lot getting drunk with cool people and nice cars.

Yes she would have a good time, but here ideal b-day weekend is "Me and Her Time" uninterupted. That definately wouldn't happen at ECG.

Reason for uninterupted time is .... I rent rooms in my house to MY friends, and her schedule conflicts with mine (I work Days, She works nights). We get little time to spend together....ALONE. Did I mention I also run a small XBOX repair side business from home apart from my 9-5 job. So my time is quite limited. Hence, her need for Quality time during special occasions like B-Days.

Either way. I'll figure something out. I'll see everyone at ECG......one way or another.

There are usually caravans. If nothing through WV in particular there should be something through VA or the western PA guys. Keep your eyes peeled as it gets closer and you should see some threads pop up about it.

What are you sayin... I'm no fun (LOL). Yes, a big caravan would be cool, so this coming year I say we get down there the day it starts and stay for more than 24hrs. :) *On a side note: I'm bringing the bug cleaner this time too and finding a power washer once we get there.

Hey, if you go to ECG, you'll have almost EVERY reputable 3/S tech within shouting distance! If you're going to break down (and it happens to at least one of us almost every year, no better place for it to happen than a Gathering.)

They usually hold it before the cruise week so we can actually block off a set of hotel rooms at one hotel. Cruise week tends to get packed pretty quickly and I believe the rates go up at the hotels right about then.

If you think you are going to be able to make it to this year's 3S ECG please register at the Official website so we can figure out a pretty accurate count of everyone that is potentially coming at Create Registration | East Coast Gathering 2011 (http://www.autovelocity.net/ecg11/node/add/registration). Also please book your hotel room in advance Travel and Hotel Information | East Coast Gathering 2011 (http://www.autovelocity.net/ecg11/node/5) so we can make sure we all stay at the same hotel this year, and possibly get even further reduced rates (You can also cancel your stay if you cannot make it and get a full refund if you let the hotel know 72 hours in advance). Book your rooms ASAP, the hotel is filling and they are releasing the rest of the rooms to the public. Too many people waited to book rooms now they do not want to hold them any longer. If we fill a few more quick, I can probably convince them to hold the last couple for us just in case.

I've got two Stealths, so there's another one that needs a driver. Coming to ECG without a 3/S doesn't necessarily mean you can't be driving one!

On another topic...the Carousel Hotel, the official ECG hotel....a serious FYI:

This is not a regular "hotel" with all rented rooms, it is a building with quite a few condos, and fulltime residents. This means we absolutely must act with respect and restraint, more so than at a typical "hotel". People LIVE there, and if things get too noisy or there's tires spinning and burnouts in the parking lot, not only will the cops be called, but we will not be able to come back next year. So if it's 3am, please keep it quiet, just as if you were partying in the middle of a residential neighborhood! There's no reason you have to hoot like a furious ass-baboon, or knock over a twelve-high tower of beer bottles, especially not in the middle of the night.

Think of it as an apartment building, that happens to have hotel rooms on the lower floors. Don't do anything that will piss off the (probably mostly grouchy SUV-driving old people). They have a right to their peace and quiet, they live there.

Sorry for the delays because all the sponsors and organizers have been very busy trying to take care of all the cars to get them there lol.

The trophies look incredible in person, as will the shirts.

Another note: We have worked extensively to get the right hotel and restaurant, and we are very excited about what they have to offer us.

We will be collecting for the banquet dinner in advance Saturday morning at the show registration in order to have Hall's properly prepare everything for us to ensure the best possible dinner/awards banquet, and to limit time waiting in line at the restaurant. They are giving us the whole banquet area, and I ensure better service than the last few years.

The hotel has given us the entire 3rd floor of their parking garage so that will be a big plus to park and hangout, especially if there is bad weather, and there is plenty of off street parking as well.
