I already like the way this forum works. The speed is incredible and the way the forum tools work is so smooth/quick. I'm liking this.

I *love* it.

It's a night and day difference in how fluid this is compared to 3Si, especially at this time.

Even on my phone, it's blistering fast, granted I have 3G.

I agree. This site is WAAAYYY faster than 3SI (in the early morning that is).

Thank you Alan!
Much non-homosexual love for stepping up and creating this for us to come to.

Forum runs great so far. The hard part will be building up the store of information. So many of the old timers aren't active anymore on 3SI yet they left a history that will be hard to duplicate.

That takes some processor speed, not to mention ho many users get on at one time.

With the amount of money that Autoforums makes off of that forum there is no reason to not have a faster dedicated servers and a separate dedicated database!

The speed is great! Having opened and closed, sold and bought Vbulletin forum sites before. I always knew there was something wrong with 3SI. I even offered to try and figure out what was wrong for free. But they would never let me... Oh well..

this forum looks very clean and I like that... removing (editing) links to other websites is like that stupid soviet union thing. last time I checked, this is the USA. I hope its not gonna happen here.

You're right. I just noticed that and I agree!

Also now this forum hopefully won't CRAWL at midnight EST like 3si does due to the backup..

I hope eventually all the knowledge (wiki, archives, etc..) will transfer to here. There is a huge wealth of content on 3si that we need to create here.

I have adblock enabled on 3si, and disabled on this site. Even then, this site is faster

My feelings also. It will take some time for any "bugs" to get ironed out, but Alan has seemed to have thought of most everything before pushing the "Start" button.

On 3SI I would get "DNS look-up error" when I tried to load pages. I thought maybe it was because I am on craptastic satellite internet. But this forum I have no problems and it is faster.

Fantastic speed. Even in a bad reception area, with 1x, the site screams along on my phone. The pages load nearly instantly on my PC, versus a few second delay on 3si.
