I have a silver 1st gen VR-4 chassis with no interior except for the dash, no wheels unless the buyer needs to ship the car in which case we can work something out, and no hood. There are 186k miles on the body.
Transmission won't be included. The car is also missing the transfercase, driveshaft, and ecu.
There is little to no rust on the car since it wasn't dd in the winter and lived most of its life as a Nevada car. Some of the paint is fading, clearcoat peeling, there's a few dents, and various scratches. The bumpers appear to have some spider cracking in small spots on the paint.
It comes with GC coilovers and stock ECS struts I believe. The car will need adjustable rear control arms if you want it low. Right now it has stock ones on there I swapped from my 2nd gen Stealth but one of the bolts on the ball joint has some bad threads so it will need to be replaced. The front brakes aren't in the pics but I do have those also. I forgot to mention there won't be a front sway bar either.
The frame and body is still good so I don't want to scrap it but would rather see someone make a good project out of it since I don't need it right now.
Car is SOLD!!!

So, basically, you want $1500 the chassis?

$1500 for the car. I'll include the full interior, a spare dash, full suspension and brakes, full exterior even the VIS CF hood, and basically a complete fuel system. I have another fuel sending unit and gas tank. You'd just need to replace some of the rubber lines to connect them. I'm pulling the motor, transmission, and maybe the rear diff. If I can find the front axles I will include those. The rears will definitely be there. I already sold the driveshaft and the transfercase was sloppy on the tail shaft plus I need the tail section off it. The car still has all the A/C components installed still. The radiator, SMICs, and 99 coolant overflow are already gone. Of course I don't have any stock wheels for it oh and the brake rotors are Stillen cross/drilled fairly fresh with pads I think around 10k miles on them. I need to swap out the Katzkin seats for a stock set of leathers. The driver's side has some bolster wear.
The car has some dents, nicks, peeling, and shows some age but the underside is nearly rust free. I will get some pics. I haven't had much time to work on it. I pulled the wheels off yesterday but need to clean up the car still. Since I have both cars in the garage and I need to pull the motor/transmission already I'm contemplating do a 5-speed swap to my Stealth over the course of a few evenings since I want to hit the track at the end of the month. I refuse to launch on this unbraced 6-speed in my Stealth plus I'm hoping to have the swap the 368s for the Devastators sitting on my shelf by the end of the month too. With my Kormex rebuilt 5-speed out of this 92, 5-speed rear diff from the 92 or the 93 I had, 3SX SS transfercase, and 1-piece PST CFDS I would have no anxiety about launching my car at the track. I hope to get it all done by the end of the month but 60+ hours a week at work has been killing me trying to get any car work done since the summertime is the busiest season for us. I'm headed back to school to work towards finishing my degree in a few weeks after a long extended break after my sister passed away from cancer so I may have a little more time towards the end of this month.
Vicki, if you know of anyone making a trip across the U.S. headed to the east coast let me know. I would be willing to make a dirt cheap deal on the car for you guys or maybe even donate it to you and Chris since I already broke even on it for what I had in it not counting the cost of my time of course but I know you want a silver first gen. It will need work on the exterior and probably has some worn bushings underneath, but it would be a great starter when Chris gets his health back.

That's what you guys said last time when I had my 93 for sale last year. :p I understand since most people will say the same thing. I may be forced to sell it locally, sell it for dirt cheap $400 like my last one so it goes into a 3Ser's hands, or just hall it to the scrap yard because nobody wants to pay an extra $7-800 to ship. I can sell the hood, brakes, suspension, parts of the interior, and still probably come out with more money. I wanted to give someone an opportunity to get it first. I don't have enough time right now to be in a hurry anyways so it may sit for a few more months.

So, it's more than just the chassis---that's good. Yes, I really want one, but first--we can't afford it now, so I dream a lot. Second--I think calculated the cost of getting it from out there and it was a little hefty. I do hope it goes to another 3Ser who will return it to it's stock glory. So hard to find a 92 silver vr4. Thanks for thinking of us. If it doesn't sell and time goes by, our situation will turn around and we can get it.

Ok. I figured I'd throw it out there. Let me know if things change. If this would have been 6 months ago I would have been making a trip up to NY to pick up a VR-4 and could have come by NC.

Thanks ever so much. Chris and I have talked about this one several times, but just can't work the money right now. Who knows what will happen over the next year, though, right?

Pics added and price dropped. I've sold a few things off of the car mainly the hood and recovered seats. I have replacement stock seats and the interior will be complete. I'll have to dig out all of the components and take some pics. I'd rather not put it back together unless I have a serious buyer. If anyone needs parts let me know. I don't have time for the car and it's taking up space so I'm not opposed to a part out. If it doesn't go anywhere anytime soon it will be going for scrap which I have a pretty good feeling that will be the inevitable since nothing is selling and nobody wants to travel.

I will be sad if this get's scrapped. Body and paint actually in good shape except for a few dents. In 3 or 4 more months I'd probably be ready for this.

I'm not sure that I can keep it for that long. I've had it for a year now. :( I'm trying to see if I can get a friend's nephew to do payments since it's a project he wants.

Plz, plz, plz don't scrap this. I know it doesn't help you that I want it so much, but can't buy it, but I would HATE to lose this potential in our community. Eddie, if you buy this, I'll be torn---either hate you or be so happy for you. :p

If I could make a road trip that direction I would no problems but with going back to school I'm living paycheck to paycheck taking care of bills and loans. What I can spend on the car is whatever I can sell out of the surplus I've accumulated. If I don't have time it won't go anywhere. I guess it all depends on what happens this winter.

I understand. And it's 100% your decision. I just had to make the plea. :p You have to take care of you and your responsibilities first and of course I respect that.

I should have an extra digital a/c unit or two. I will have to test them though. A few either the screens weren't working or a few of the buttons quit. I don't know how many good ones I have.
I may also be selling the suspension and complete brake setup off this car. I'll probably start a part out on this car soon. I've only had one local offer but no money to show for it. I'm tired of it and ready to move on. Nobody seems to care enough.

I know. Those that do have the money still don't seem to care. I'm banking on a friend's nephew getting the car. Otherwise, I'm going to part what I can and scrap the shell since I will need the garage space this winter. I thought I was getting another 95 Stealth like mine with lower miles I was just going to swap my parts over and sell my current one complete, but it looks like someone else snatched it up because the owners were being racist. I'll be rebuilding a transmission, swapping a complete 5-speed drivetrain, and maybe fabbing up a custom turbo kit up so the extra stall would be very nice. I'm surprised nobody even wants to consider this shell to put a V8 in it.

I need one with a working screen if possible. Scratch the fog lights & glove Box hinge i found those.

Price lowered. Last chance. It will be parted or I will call to have it towed away as is to the scrap yard. I advise anyone contemplating to be a man and step up to the plate because I won't hold onto it for much longer.

Yes. I have someone coming to pick it up either this weekend or next. The whole frame front and rear subframes, etc is all there. It's as pictured in the first post without most of the interior. I'm throwing in a few things I won't be able to sell and would rather see someone get use and/or money from them instead of going in the trash. If he backs out I will let you know. I would take $500 for it also since that's what I was offered. I've already had nearly 2X that in parts requests before letting it go.
