I'm looking for a new home router that will let me set a DNS up through Unblock Us - smarter faster VPN (http://www.unblock-us.com). I have been out of the networking game for a long time I never even heard of Dual Band routers till today lol. I did cisco networking, oracle database programing and Computer electronics but I have since joined the Army and fell out of the scene for a while.
I was trying to stay under $100 for one

I have a D-Link Dir-655. I personally think it's the best router you can get for the money, it's $100. Has a lot of features as well, you can "log in" to the router through your browser to configure it, and the range is very good in my two story home, it covers my entire home and even the backyard and garage area, though the router is on the 2nd floor towards the front of the house.

nice, jeff. i got a linksys 1000 that i've flashed, but i can't seem to get the hidemyass vpn software to work on it. i'm stuck watching on my laptop for the foreseeable future. wish i'd waited to buy another vpn service from somewhere else. my buddies all seem to use different ones, and no one has mine--so i don't have anyone who can help me troubleshoot.
i really blame the media companies for the restrictions though. it's absolute horseshit that they don't allow servicemembers to acces their accounts without having to use VPN service.

I use www.unblock-us.com they had a very easy to use walk through on how to set it up on the router. If you know the DNS of yours the walk through might help you trouble shoot it.

i've already got a year's subscription to hidemyass. i don't feel like paying more. maybe when it expires or something.
