The current setup dyno'd 468RWHP about a month back in much better weather. Link: http://www.3sgto.org/f5/bpu-supra-dyno-numbers-8635.html
Temp was in the mid/upper 80's and moderately humid. I drove the car to the track (~40 miles) with the Drag Pack on -- with the rears aired up to 28psi street manners are pretty reasonable. I aired the tires down to about 17psi upon arrival, went through tech and then got in line. First pass was a failure - I tried slipping the clutch and blew the tires away and then proceeded to miss 2nd gear... Burnt clutch stank permeated the air. I over-compensated and dropped the tire pressure down to 15.5psi warm and got back in the line since it was still short.
1st (complete) pass: Bogged hard off the line, which was (at the time) a pleasant surprise -- usually zMAX prep/conditions are terrible. Relatively uneventful pass but the boost dropped hard in 4th gear as I forgot to turn up the duty cycle on the EBC. The clutch felt a little funny on this pass, especially in 4th, so it may have been slipping a bit. Ended up with an 11.86 @ 118.3MPH. I was ok with the ET considering the shitty 1.90 60' but was surprised in a bad way with the MPH - I was estimating 122MPH traps given the power. Decided to let the car cool down for a bit, added 1psi to the tires and played with the EBC.
2nd pass: More aggressive with the launch but still bogged out of the hole, but not nearly as bad as the first pass. Overall a nearly perfect pass after the 60' and the car was pulling up top like it should. Ended with an 11.50 @ 122.3MPH with mediocre 1.74 60'! Now I'm pumped!
3rd pass: Temp dropped a little, but still hot and muggy. Bogged HARD again - dammit! Overall a clean pass with a 11.81 @ 123.1MPH
4th pass: I wanted to put more tire pressure in but I left the inverter at home and couldn't refill my compressor - oops.... Did a much shorter burnout and tried to launch the shit out of the car and still bogged! Track was very loose (recent clean-up) and the car moved around a bit in 2nd and 3rd gear. Ended up with an 11.78 @ 123.6MPH terrible 1.89 60'
Overall I'm pretty damn pleased considering the heat and got some good takeaways from the experience. With the lightened flywheel and a clutch that won't shock the tires, getting the car out of the hole was a surprising challenge. More tire pressure should have resolved that, though. I have a Rush Racing Antilag box that needs a purpose, so I'll be putting that on before the next track outing. Conservatively, I'm estimating the car will go 11.3 with a little more tire pressure and/or the anti-lag.
