Since I sold my old 3s a couple years ago, I have gotten in the DSM scene. I love it, fast, cheap, absolutely not reliable...but I'm working on that :) Here's my mod list of everything I've done since I have owned the car. It is the GSX :)

-I bought the car with a shitty FMIC, HKS bov, and a Thermal catback exhaust.

-132,xxx miles
-SAFC
-FIC 650cc injectors
-Fuel Lab AFPR
-COP
-3.5in down pipe
-3in cat deleted exhaust after the DP
-Wideband, boost, EGT and oil pressure gauges
-Blitz Dual Turbo Timer
-VIS cf hatch
-2gb side skirts and door caps
-New sunroof
-Tubular exhaust manifold
-1g TB elbow
-TD05 Evo III 16g turbo converted to 20g w/ ported turbine housing
-Dejon intake w/ stock MAS and K&N filter
-Big ass fmic
-ARP Head studs w/ composite head gasket
-Blue Gates timing belt w/ Beck Arnley tensioner
-GMB Water pump
-AC delete
-Keydriver chip (4500 2step, 93oct, 11:1)
-New calipers, pads, and rotors
-MSR Type 45 17in satin black wheels in Continental tires
-Battery relocate to the trunk
-Energy Suspension shifter base bushings
-Energy Suspension rear control arm, trailing arm, and knuckle bushings

And I'm sure I'm missing a couple things, but that's it for the most part.

I took it to the track back in February, with a small 16g, Av gas, and a shitty tune with two intercooler pipes blowing off at the 1/8 mile, and my bov vacuum line blowing off, I ran a 13.4 at 99 mph with a 1.6 60ft.

Here's the video (cell phone quality) of that run, I was racing my buddy with a 03 WRX with exhaust and Access Port...

So, throughout the course of the couple years I have owned the car, I learned about swapping turbo's....I can do it in roughly 30 min now :) But, the reason behind the 20g upgrade, is because (well, it's a story.)

I bought the intercooler core from a friend of mine, and he said for x amount of dollars, he will include a Garrett T70. So, before doing absolutely any research on these what so ever, I said HAELLLL YEAH. I got it, no shaft play, freshly rebuilt, but the only downside to it, was the previous owner (Honda owner :p ) welded the down pipe to the turbine housing...because the four bolts that bolt down pipe to the turbo broke off. Yeah...anyways, I sawed off the down pipe and sat on it for a while, did my research, then found out I am in no way shape or form ready for this turbo, financially and car wise. I am a full time student at UNCW, and I am your typical broke college guy. Which is ironic because I do own a DSM :) So, one weekend when I was home for break, I was at a gas station and a guy with a Spyder GST came up to me and we talked, well he was in the market for a large frame turbo, so I told him what I had (I had a small 16g on my car at the time), and he had a Evo III big 16g laying around (he had a FP T28 on his car), so we did an even trade. It felt great, no shaft play in the turbo, nothing. I bolt it on, along with the tubular exhaust manifold, drive from Winston-Salem to Wilmington, and about two thousand miles later, the turbo blows. Oil seals were SHOT. So, I got up with Austin at Turbo Lab, and he hooked me up, I owe him and Turbo Lab big time! So, I got the rebuild kit, and the 20g conversion kit. It is the 3in cold side inlet, and down firing compressor housing, so it got rid of all the J Pipe mess that comes with TD05 turbos. So now it's running great! I am only waiting on bigger injectors and DSM link so I can turn up the boost safely and make some solid power! If my butt dyno tells me right, I'm right at the 350 AWHP range. I'd like to squeeze 400+ AWHP out of it, but I'm going to need cams for that too...but that's in the works :)

Nice build man. This might be a stupid question but your still running the 7 bolt in there? I'm not a dsm pro yet I still can't tell without looking at the oil pan.

nice car man i have a 1g with a big 16g right not and am about to switch to a br20g. the only question i have for your build is why do you have a 1g throttle body elbow? they are way way worse then a 2g elbow. another question for you is how do you like your 20g compared to you 16g. my 16 is amazing spools fast and hard but im on 30 pounds and its not going to last long like that lol. my best so far with a shitty tune and 25 pounds on pump gas was a 8.1 at 86 in the 1/8 and im now on 85 and 30 pounds but i think im going to switch to the 20g with meth and go for low 7's
