Fits perfect added a Twin Turbo Logo. I haven't installed it yet but you will drill a hole and add this mount, which I will provide.

http://www.ted-kyte.com/3D/Pictures/Butterfly%20Screw.jpg

With an added option the whole will have CF backing like this.

I work at a manufacuring company with many CNC and Laser Cutting machines at my disposal with a staff of 150.

http://www.doughpro.com/about

I got the approval from my work to manufacture these and if there is enough interest, I will invest into making these. It first started off as i wanted to replace my ugly carpet door trim with something more nice and I figure other people may want it too. The possible price would be from 80-100 dollars and I will only sell on which I have in stock and include instructions how to install.

Do you have any pics installed?

I have here is a Lower Door Trim from the infamous SmokinVr4. :)

Edit: reading fails me! Still I'd like to see this installed. Do you plan to make them the same?

The first one being made is going to say 3000GT with the diamond.

Plans to have different logos cut through, and a carbon fiber one as seen in the picture.

Yes. Please. Two of my cars don't even have the driver side carpet piece on because it's fallen off so much the screws won't hold it.

Like on my door
The door is in decent shape, but the carpet won't hold into it so...

Line up the trim.
mark the holes in the trim onto the door panel.
Drill the holes
Remove the door panel off and put the plate and nut on the inside and bolt it on the other side.

It will look flush and a lot sturdier then the stock carpet IMO.

Going to make 20 sets

3000GTx5
VR-4x5
Stealthx5
Spyderx5

I will be interested but all my aluminum trims have the GTO logo instead of 3000GT. Is this possible?

Yeah it is, I will have a couple variations made.

I will only sell on what I make so if I make a GTO one it will be posted first come first serve.

Excellent product, but I already have it... I would recomend it to everyone though! It is especially nice to have it if you have lambo doors. :)

Haha sorry not my dog. :)

Most likely I will make a couple sets and start showing some more pictures of the ones with the logos.

GTO/Spyder will be made per order and may take a lil longer.

Starting off with

3000GT
Stealth
VR4

I will have those invested into.

At first I didn't quite get what you were offering, but after seeing your interior I figured it out. The interior of your car is purely gorgeous.
If I could get one of these painted to color match the car, I'd be in. Car's purple, interior is dark... maybe?

Atrosity
09-22-2010, 02:10 AM
You can always send it in to be powdercoated to the exact color your want. :) I believe auto velocity will do it for you or Mojave Speed.

Blue91SL

Maybe you could work out an arrangement with one of those companies to do the paintwork. Send it to them to have it painted, then have them ship it to the final destination.

Messing around with the laser machine.

I prototyped a GTO Keychain out of scrap steel. I wanted to see how it would come out so there of course is imperfections.

I plan to close the O on the top side, kinda came out like a C.

Yes, but need to make my first product available up for grabs. I have quite a few products I will be selling, tomorrow I will be getting independent status. :)

Logos will be on the left side. First logo will be 3000GT out of the stock font used.

Possible CF insert on the right.

Haha I see that my first base 3000GT made its way over here :p Old times. This picture is actually on my wall.

FYI, the trim pieces that I installed were the smokinvr4 front speaker covers, lower door trim, and 5-sp shifter ring.

Haha, I knew you wouldn't mind me posting a picture of it! The interior looked very nice and you have seen mine and how I am doing something similar except I am making the trim pieces.

You would be surprised on how little pictures there is of these door trims.

Hey bboyalan, where did you get the trim pieces around the handles and dash? I took mine out and wrapped in carbon fiber, but not all the pieces came out as well as I hoped. But around the handle and buttons looks pretty good on yours.

Thanks.

Dammit Atrosity, you are gonna take all my money! LOL. I'm in for either GTO or 3000GT. Any chance of making the door sills in all aluminum?

Atrosity
09-28-2010, 04:14 PM
I plan on making door sills and shifter trims, I am first making it in stainless steel as it is a lot easier to cut with the laser and it looks really good. The laser takes a lot longer to cut through aluminum then it does with steel but aluminum is a lot easier to cut on the CNC machine.

I plan on making a lot more products and plan to have a website with a lot of goodies for ya guys. :)

Second prototype will be done today.

Atrosity

Prototype Number 2!

http://img214.imageshack.us/img214/2986/photo1yf.jpg

The parameter came out perfect as well as the front cut out. I ordered carbon fiber vinyl that will fill in the spaces with a nice cf look. I need to make the logo bigger and I need to run the stock 3000GT font through solidworks. So my next one will say twin turbo. I am adding to the drawing are the screw bolts, so the next product will be installed onto the door.

terrets
09-29-2010, 01:35 PM
Very nice. Ya I think the logo would look better if it were bigger.

Geordon

I plan on making door sills

Yes, please! Especially, if I get new screws, as my originals are getting pretty rusty.

Might be a dumb question, but why aluminum instead of SS?

Atrosity
09-29-2010, 10:51 PM
I plan on doing SS instead of Aluminum. If there is a demand I will do aluminum.

Atrosity

the backing came in today from my vendor, I am very impressed with this quality. It is dry black carbon fiber and you can feel the texture.

Ok so in my case, where the door material itself seems to be falling apart near the screw holes, this would be perfect. BUT, will it interfere with normal removal of the door panel itself? I seem to take mine off frequently. My window keeps getting broken. I wish they made polycarbonate replacements. Also, can you make a set with no writing on them?

Atrosity
10-05-2010, 01:13 PM
You do not need to remove your door panel to install these. Pretty much you drill a hole into your door big enough for the toggle screw to get in. You put the bolt through the piece and you put the toggle on the other side of the bolt. You then close the toggle and snap it in where you just drilled and screw the bolts in. If you need to remove your door you simply unscrew the bolts and the toggle will fall on this inside but you would take the door panel off as normally and just retrieve the toggle and install it back again as normal.

I plan on making a set with out a logo.

10-05-2010, 02:23 PM
Oh I just saw the picture. Those look like standard butterfly anchors. Will you continue to have the CF inlay? Do you have a price estimate including the inlay?

Atrosity
10-05-2010, 02:41 PM
I am looking at an added 20 dollars for the Carbon fiber. You can feel the texture/quality and it looks amazing. Pictures don't do justice until you see for your self. I will be sure to get installed pictures tonight.

MSRP pricing will be

80 for no logo
100 for logo

Add 20 for CF.

I'm in for the twin turbo with carbon fiber.

Are you pre-installing the CF? I want to paint the trim body color, so the cf will be an issue if pre-installed.

I also want the upper section as well that were in your friends car, which I want to say VR4.

Edit: Make it happen!

Atrosity
10-05-2010, 10:54 PM
I have pictures off my phone but the quality of the picture is just not there. The Carbon fiber does not come installed. I will include it in the package, remember this is CF vinyl but it looks like real CF with the same texture, none of this fake crap. I want to say it is real carbon fiber with 3M adhesive. So you will see it stickied on some cardboard or abs plastic and you would have to super glue it to the piece yourself. This stuff is expensive and I am not making much from it, just enough to cover materials.

The hardware I used to install made this thing a headache to install so...back to the drawing board! I used toggle screws and the ones I had were to long so they would not expand once inserted. I need to find some smaller ones.

Ill take a set that says 3000GT without carbon fiber :D. (when your finished). I want red inserts :).

And I want shifter trim, upper trim, and speaker trim when you get around to those :D. These look awesome.

I don't have any red inlays. :(

You can actually spray paint plexis glass with an even coat of red and super glue it on, I think it would look really good.

For the CF, they will not come glued on as that is up to you guys to do. I used simple super glue and just did the edges and came out really good, just be careful with it.

The CF will be precut and layed on cardboard ready to be glued on.

terrets
