Sweet! They should strap that car down better, throws off the dyno numbers if it climbs.

LOL Yes, it fits... if you cut a big ass hole in the stock hood! I think that's the biggest displacement engine I've ever heard of for a car. The actual physical size of the engine is actually pretty compact compared to say, a 500 ci top fuel dragster engine.

That's badass. Except the hood, ugly as can be.

I don't think the hood is that bad. I just don't know if the price of the engine is worth it. Although it's some pretty awesome engineering.

Tend to agree. A 528 hemi can be had for around 18 large. That'll get ya about 600/650.

Granted, 728 cubes is just North of insane, but 60k does seem steep.

p.s. hood is teh suk, needed, but still sux. :p

EDIT - just did the math, 728 ci is ~12 liters. 60k is justified. Where you gonna source that?!

Most would say turbo charge a cheaper proven engine but Imagine that bitch with a set of snails.

an 11.7 like all of the other modded GTO's, haha. Things may have changed, but when I was looking at buying one it always seemed that the 4xx rwhp cars and the 6xx rwhp cars always ran within .5 secs of each other, give or take more wheel spin. People would spend shit tons of money on a fully built twin turbo motor to run a 10.8.

That's cuz GTOs cant stick wide tires on the back, they're pretty much stuck with at most 10" IIRC

I bet its less than half a shit ton than what Gup spent on his "toy". IMO its worth it alone for the attention it will bring to his shop. Outrageous, functional, thirsty, ad. 10pts!
