I did a quick search here over lunch, but don't have much time so I am looking for anyone that can help me....

I have Tein S and KYB GR-2's at the shop for assembly (I can't find my spring compressors). I stopped in today to see what's up and the fronts are together, no issues. The rears, however, I was a little surprised and they seem so too. He has 1 rear assembled and the spring is loose between the bottom spring perch and the upper mount--Is this normal with Tein S and GR-2's before they're loaded on the car???

I found a thread discussing helper springs, but the focus there was on Ground Controls and/or other shock/strut options.

I have a non-ECS 95, but ordered everything for the rear as if I had ECS to get the correct size upper mount.

Thank you for your help, I'll try some more searching after work, but might have to visit "another" site:eek4:

I just did mine recently (December) with the same set up.

I did not have to use a spring compressor on the rears. They were not loose, but I was able to put enough down force on them by leaning on it that I was able to easily get the bolt on.

So, to answer your question. It is normal for them to be easy to reassemble, but I don't know if that loose.

I have Eibach's with the GR-2's and I have a little space b/w the spring and hub. Just gotta make sure it's aligned when you lower the car on them.

Should have a couple more parts here from Cherry Hill on tues/wed, then we should be good. Silly me missed a couple of parts when I originally ordered everything. Sounds like minimal tension is normal, strength in numbers I've been told. Will update with pics this week as parts come in and hopefully get the 95 in for alignment and some boost!!!

I have S-Techs on KYBs and the rears were slightly loose until I set it down.

No problems, though, and no rattles or anything like that.

I like this set-up a lot. :)

Oh, and I have a '92 TT.

Thank you, everyone, for your help.

Now here's my next issue:) I ordered a few parts from Cherry Hill, but one is on back order 40 day ETA from the motherland-I just ain't gonna wait that long, or at least I don't want to. Can someone help me clearly identify part number MB871465 ? I can't tell if it's just a washer or what exactly. The view illustration function on the Cherry Hill/Mitsparts page doesn't have matching descriptions, if that makes any sense. It almost looks to me like you could get away using a friggin washer, but I have been wrong before.

Getting on the road for Saturday is out of the question due to parts not shipping until the 4th. I also asked AEM for a tracking number and they said they will pass it on once they get it so maybe I'll cancel that and order it from Ninja if it's not too late since he has the part and I want to help him just like the rest of us.

Edit: Coop found it for me while I was searching and finding this pic

it is a cylinder collar type of piece so it would be better to have the exact part.

You can see if some other sites might have it in stock like this one:

COLLAR. for DODGE STEALTH (1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996) (MB871465 ) (http://www.factorychryslerparts.com/products/COLLAR/4464839/MB871465.html)

Edit: Never mind, I missed your edit. haha

factorychryslerparts cancelled my order due to parts availability and Cherry Hill was waiting for Japan! (see above) I am thinking I'll make my own MB871465, but does anyone else have an idea as to where to find the right parts in stock?

EDIT: Anyone have a their 1G rear suspension apart that can get some measurements of the collar????
