clutch help

I need some help.Today I was at a stop light, in first gear, let out the clutch and the car started shuddering like it was in too high of a gear. Took it out of gear, put back in first, shuddered again and died. Fired it back up and rode the clutch to get going and there's barely any power at all. Limped it home and tried to parallel park and it was fine in reverse but it still shuddered and died twice in first. It has a new clutch, flywheel, TOB and pressure plate. Clutch assist deleted. Didn't replace the slave cylinder and starting to wonder if the boot came off or something else? Thanks guys.

What mph were you getting up to in "1st" gear and at what rpm? You sure there isn't a shifter issue and your 1st is really 3rd?

It sure feels like third, but I've tried shifting into all gears from 1st and it seems to go in them all. I can't get it to go much faster than 5 mph. It stutters and dies.

I'm pretty sure the boot on the slave cylinder blew off. My fluid level is low and there's a puddle of it on the transmission.
