Has anyone ever converted the fake brake ducts to to an actual duct setup?
I have looked at the ducts on a Z06 and I feel like something similar could be set up. any thoughts?

Something I could just cap off for street use with the factory inserts and remove for track days.

Didn't think of that, that's a good idea.
I want to use the front passenger intercooler hole to funnel air to the front breaks (I have front mount and a oil cooler in the drivers side). Then use the rear ones for the rear brakes. I have some ideas for the rears but it would be hard to explain without showing it.

OP got me searching some and saw this. I was thinking of something sort of flat to use in the wheel well like this. I'm thinking this is what he was talking about also.

^ that is one of the setups I have seen for Z06's. I would like to make/see a vendor make something similar..
I asked someone about tracking at road america and they said you need something constantly cooling brakes.

Why not just do that with your dust shields? Would have the same effect.

Yep weld rivet/weld a tube on to them but I'm talking about the flat plastic part coming from the fake intakes on the side skirts.

Yes.
I have looked, would require some holes to be cut out and some clever routing to get to the brake disc. I am interested in it though

ha ha, I don't have my front ones anymore anyway. Still got the rears though.
I'd say you can just cut the lip off the fronts and possibly still use them.

It would be cool, but honestly I really don't think it's needed for the rears unless you are on a really small circuit. The fronts can certainly use some. Although, I've removed mine the last few years from the fronts. A good multi spoke wheel however is worth it's weight in gold.

IDK Erron, I'm pretty bad on breaks :lol: not as bad as I use to be though.

Sure! It's nothing fancy. 13.5" rotors, aluminum hats, 1.5" width rotors, AP 6 pots, RBF660 fluid, Raybestos ST47 pads, right foot 3cm smaller than the left.

The ducts were the standard type of setup. Hose, carbon ducts, but I had made a piece that fed the cool air directly into the veins of the rotor between the rotor and the caliper. It was shaped like an eyebrow, thin metal, that bolted to the stock bolt hole location.

I took them off because I tore one of the hoses. I took it out racing like that and didn't notice any major difference so I saved myself the money and time of replacing it.

Wow! That's a nice setup! The calipers I would suspect are AP 5555's. They look exactly like that.

A guy makes these for the Evo platform. Looks like a decent product, but the ducting solutions are left to you. Would be nice if a complete product were offered.
