View Full Version : Car Show Location
A HUGE thanks to Bob Melton, our newest Committee member, for once again getting the car show on Monument Circle! Great job, Bob!!! They said it couldn't be done, and you did it anyway. This was our most popular car show location ever, so we're very pleased to be going back there again.
Contracts aren't signed yet, but the way Monument Circle is that won't happen until just before the event anyway. We're on the calendar, which is as good as locked in. Woo-hoo!!!

Is there any way we can talk O'Reilly into letting us take our cars onto the oval track? That would be amazing!!!

Hmm, thats one more thing off the list of what "THE BIG SURPRISE!" could be...hmmm, eventually we'll figure it out by method of deduction ;)

Ya know just for that I think I'm gonna have to make a list of all the things I think the BIG SURPRISE! could be :p
and if it's on the list when it's finally announced, i get a cookie.
I'll even make the cookies.

They'd let us around the oval for racing.
They are scheduling us in as an event with spectators. (like a normal friday night street legal would be listed on the schedule the track hands out)
They are offering us a better hotel and agreeing to pay for it.
We would get to meet someone who designed the stealth indy car.
They are hooking us up with an EXTREMELY discounted racing fee.
They will actually listen to us when we say we need glue on the track and wont make fun of us.
You are getting a radio station to help advertise the track days for spectators to come down.
We will be getting a new type of racing event that hasn't been tried at an NG yet.
They promise to not have track on the water this time.
More help from the track in track-duties for autocross and road racing.
The CEO/Head of the NHRA will be there to oversee everything.
We all get to be on PINKS ALL OUT.
Free 5 gallons of race gas for everyone.
Access to one of their nice banquet halls.
Fully catered event with free food.
Town will be more involved with the car show.
5 Star hotel.
I'm out of ideas for now. Did I list it? LOL
