View Full Version : Best place for 120k kit?
What's the best place to get one? The eBay ones look enticing, especially at $100, and claims of OEM quality parts. Anyways, I need to this cheaply, but would prefer quality parts. A link to a walk-through, or a c/p of it would be greatly beneficial as well.

There's no way the parts are OEM for $100, lol.
sorry meant oem quality claimed

An OEM timing belt alone is more than that. I would strongly recommend staying away from anything on ebay that goes in or on your engine. Its not worth saving a couple hundred bucks now and then having one of the parts fail and taking out your entire engine in a week. Go OEM and be good for another 60k miles.
If you want a quote on all real OEM Mitsubishi parst let me know, i'll get you the best deal i can.

I wouldn't want to burden you, but if you want to, you could send me a PM for a full kit.

Talk to the site sponsors. Support them as much as you can, whenever you can.
RockAuto.com has some good deals on things. I'd stick with OEM water pump and oil pump.

If I could, I wouldn't even have made this thread. Unfortunately, I can't, financially speaking.

Wow: http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/moreinfo.php?pk=2455124
Whole thing is $125 +shipping. And the Dayco website says they warranty it to manufacturers specs or 60k.

OEM is looking a bit too expensive...
Thanks for all the input so far guys.

It's worth it.
The peace of mind to have all OEM parts and not throwing a belt after 50 miles is worth every penny OEM will offer.

The partsdinosaur guy (Bruce) has quality parts at good prices. Have gotten parts from him for dozens of 60k's in the last 3-4 years without any problems at all. A lot of other owners I know also order from him.

About all I would note is:
Select the Airtext water pump from his list, not the cheap one.
If replacing your oil pump - go OEM only.
There's no need to have to buy something because it says "kit". If you're capable of doing the job then you should be capable of making the list of what you need.
I also agree with all others - don't buy cheap crap from eBay. You can get quality parts for less but there's a point where trying to save money will cost you a lot more in the end.
