Yay! My first small project car in the US!

[Turbo Beast]

Picked up a 1969 Chrysler 300 with a 440 mag, came with a new carb but I'm pretty sure i can get the old one to work to make it completely original.

This car is a one owner car, a guy inherited it from his grandfather and decided to sell it. It has 85223 miles on it and it runs like a champ!

haha thats not a project car thats a retirment fund lol . very cool car though would def rock it .i think you will find the value of those cars increasing in the future due to people moving onto them and trucks to turn into muscle cars.

If I remember correctly, '68 vintage heads are a bit healthier, and are the heads used in the musclecar magnums.

The nice thing is '68 and earlier heads are all the same, from the lo-po stuff through to the stronger engines.

Find an old 440 in a station wagon and lay hands on the heads - they'll make you a bit happier. :)

Yeah, I would restore it. It will probably loose value if modified so if you do stuff to it make sure you can undo it unless it's something original. Bad ass find man!

Yup, San Antonio area, drilling oil just south of here, about 1.5 hours to the rig from my house, never been closer, so loving it!
My car is still not here though, since i can't travel back to holland yet due to visa issues.

Tough one, there - ask around about junkyards that favor old iron?

Haven't chased anything like that in years...best bet, find a Mopar geek who hoards parts.

Colin, give this forum a try: C Body Mopar Tech Forums - Classic C Body Mopar Forum (http://www.forcbodiesonly.com/mopar-forum/forumdisplay.php?f=8) I'd imagine if a C-body owner had enough interest in those big beasts to create a forum devoted strictly for them (much like every other MoPar platform..E-bodies rule, BTW!!), then the rest of the computer-savvy enthusiasts are all there, too.

On a side note, that sucks about the VISA issue & not being able to get your VR-4 over here yet!!

Thank you for that forum, there is at least some stuff on it. I have not been able to find anybody with parts for this thing yet, or the wheels for that matter. Haven't devoted a lot of time to it yet. I need to replace that carb first and drop the tank to clean it out. I'm slacking!!
