...wherein it was decided that one Hans Ertl owes our Emilie a huge (1 1/2 carat minimum) rock for permanent display.

Should the purchase occasion a proposal of marital bliss, he can knock off up to 1/2 carat.

I hope Hans or Emilie (preferably Hans) knew this thread was going to happen.

If he was planning to do this or even thinking about it and this thread blind-sided him, it's not helping anything.
