I guess there was a fast moving storm, the storm moved across our region at 55mph:eek:

Apparently the LIRR (Long Island Rail Road) has trains stuck with Passengers, people are trapped in their houses, tornado touched down in Queens, and Middle School 154(?) in Queens is on fire

Uh, thats funny. They are investigating some possible "funnel clouds" or possible "tornadoes" here in Jersey

I was on the treadmill at like six this morning and the news 12 weather guy gave the high reading for the temperature and in his next breath said that my school was closed...it as surreal. We had a tornado last year the day of graduation. I hope the damage isn't too bad. The people around that area have really been through a lot.

Huh.

My sister lives on St.Johns Place just off G.A.P. - she's in Atlanta just now visiting my folks.

She said she got a call from her downstairs neighbor saying trees, etc., are down all over the neighborhood - I saw news pics of damage in Park Slope on the tube.
