The Dallas PD just released this video. When will these guys ever learn. The two cops have been fired and the PD is pressing assault charges on them.
"This was just release by the Dallas PD. They fired the two cops and are filing charges on them.

I have no sympathy for the "victim". He ran, he deserves to get beat, he probably almost killed people.
Off topic...is the Stang in your avatar yours FOG?

Yeah its a Shelby. See the thread in the other platforms section.
I don't like it when the cops taking it in their own hands. Just charge the guy with evading arrest but don't beat a guy laying on the ground begging you to stop then beat him after you cuff him. That isn't right.

the guy could have done more thing to make them use the force they did. You want to use the minimal amount of force to control the scene. He runs on a motorcycle you chase him the stops gets off the bike, he could have just jumped back on it on drove away. Me I would have shot his ass with a tazer its like hell and he cant move for 5 sec. I am a MP for the army lol

He was laying on the ground and after they cuffed him the punched him. The police don't get to punish you that is what jail is for. They also tampered with the evidence by moving the camera out of its normal range of view. Tazeing him would have been excessive force because he gave up. These guys are going to get prosecuted. They should have charged him with evading arrest and leave the punishment to the court system.

yeah, the guy went to the ground to give up. There was no reason, in the video, to beat him like they did. I appreciate what the police do, but that was too much.

Yep I heard about this the other day. As a fellow rider, I gotta say, what they did is NOT justifiable. Dallas even has a policy not to chase motorcycle suspects because they may kill themselves trying to run, not other people.

Completely unnecessary. I think even *cough*coplovers*cough* can see the brutality in this.

When the media shows the kid and father getting into their car, he has that "i just won the lottery" look on his face... Sorry, but true.

No one said it was necessary. I just have no sympathy for his dumb ass.

I understand and agree with the right to shoot a fleeing felon. What I object to is them beating him once he was subdued. I understand the police have a difficult job but if they can't do the job without dispensing their own justice, maybe they should seek a different profession.
I believe the closest I've ever come to dying was at the hands of two Temple City police officers who decided to harrass us as we left a bar there. We were all but strip searched, made to lie face down on icy concrete for a half hour while they ransacked the van we'd drivin there, and then had pistols drawn on us because we headed behind their car to get the license number to file a complaint.
I first tried to ask for a badge number, but cop #1 (R.D. Molina, I later learned) just got WAY up in my face, hand on pistol, and said "You don't need my name, you don't need my badge number, we can just settle this here."
I sez "To hell with it, I'll just take your license number." THat's when the guns came out. I stopped, raised my hands, and asked "Are you going to shoot me for getting your license plate number?" They actually had to think about it a moment before putting away their weapons. Molina pulled a card from his pocket, threw it in my face, and left.
I shudder to think how it would have ended had there not by this time been a couple dozen people standing on the sidewalk watching.
They never gave a reason for stopping us in the 1st place.
Some people just shouldn't be cops. That simple.
Should have just ran him over and made it look like a accident...
