a break from the norm! what would you do if you won the lottery?

as the title says, what would you do if you won the lottery?

sarah and i have just been discussing this and if we won the 7 million we get here this is what i would do.....

first thing would be to go buy myself a rolex (i have a soft spot for those),
2nd i'd give sarahs immediate family enough to be comfy with for a while and the same with my own.

then i would book a flight 1st class to the states with the intension to live there permenant. (if i left myself and sarah with 5 million GBP it would convert to $7,812,076.25)
i'd buy a nice house (not too big for around 500k)
buy 3 VR4's a vette and whatever sarah wants.
i'd then send the VR4's to 3sx to be restored (money no object) get 2 lots of tube subframes from Nelson have those fitted. contact mitsubishi and order 2 N1 engines.
i'd have the interiors in both cars redone by the guys that used to do for american hotrod.

the remaining VR4 i'd strip myself and get a tube frame chassis made, and build the perfect LM.

also each NG we attend i would make sure Alan and Lori get the best suit and pay for nothing the whole time...not even fuel to get there and back. they put enough into the comunity so this would be their reward each year.

Suppose it depends on the total jackpot - suppose just to go off example and say I won this weekends Powerball which is up to an estimated $112 million. I'd obviously take the cash option ($61.3 million) meaning after taxes I'd have roughly $36 million. What would I do? Well:

Pay off my home (and upgrade to a slightly larger one - nothing insane), my parent's home, my grandmother's home, and all my aunt's and uncle's homes (most if not all are retired)

Travel for about 9 months (with some upgraded camera equipment of course)

Have my '94 R/T rebuilt from the ground up

Buy a couple VR4's and a Spyder and have them rebuilt from the ground up as well

Donate to some close-to-heart charities and church

See what product ideas 3SX have considered and donate to the cause to get them to market :cool:

Take a trip to Russia to have a blast flying around in some of the aircraft fleet

Build a local LAN Party gaming center - might be a dying thing, but they're still a blast - just doesn't compare to yelling at somebody thru XBLive.

Ensure Alan always has enough server capacity for the next 10+ years - long live the platform!

Ok, lets all dream. Buy a nice house with a big garage in back. Pay off my fathers house for him. Pay off all the school loans my wife has built up for medical administration. I would get a VR4 to build. I would also buy a MKIV Supra. Maybe look into a R34 Skyline and a few other vehicles. Take a nice long vacation. Visit Scotland, Italy, Japan, Australia and who knows. Cant forget the toys. New bikes, boat and a few off-road vehicles.

Dont forget to put a few million away or invest wisely. Otherwise could end up the next fool that won the lotto and now cant even afford the hotel room he has to live out of.

I'd pay off all my family and all Chris' family debt. I would set up accounts for nieces and nephews to go to college. I'd put some in stock/savings. Buy a home in PR, Ireland and maybe Australia. Travel a lot. Of course, I'd buy my Pearl Yellow VR4...mint.

Give a bunch to family and friends, then buy an island and a yacht to get to and from a mainland property. There, I'd put the garage... Barrett Jackson should help fill it.
But I only play the powerball or mega millions when they go over 120 million or so, so if I win the lottery, it's gonna be a hell of a lot bigger than 7 million.
