Anyone here ride sleds? I've barely rode in the past few years but looking to really get back into it this year. After getting back into some of the sled forums, it seems turbos have really taking over a strong segment in the market. A lot of people running 16t and 19t turbos..I cant imagine straddeling a 330+ hp 500 pound monster:eek:. I'm all excited for winter now, haha.

I've had one every year but last year, and wouldn't you know there were record snowfalls last year. I'm looking to get back in with like a 750cc-800cc Polaris or Arctic Cat.

I just bought a 08 polaris 700 switchback I cant wait to hit some powder with a 136 track! I own 3 other sleds an 03 xc500 an 05 xc700 and a 93 XLT 600. But I have never owned a sled with a track over 121, so this year will be a LOT more fun in the powder!!

I really want to, but they scare the hell out me. 120+mph on the snow, insane.

Being from minnesota snowmobiles were in my blood frome day one. But since I got married I been trying to find a pair of snowmobiles that will work for my wife and I. The problem is I'm a experienced driver and she dosent have a day in the snow. So I cant just go buy couple of 700's and expect her not to kill her self. On the other hand I still Would like to have some fun. I was thinking some articcat fire cat 440's? Any suggestions?

I went out with some experienced riders in some powder for my first time a couple years back when I lived in AK. Holy crap. I had no idea how much work/exercise it would be. Trying to dig yourself out when you get stuck, you get off the sled and are waist deep in snow... just "walking" like 20 feet takes a ton of effort.... but overall hella-fun experience, if I lived somewhere with good places to ride and had access to a snow"mobile" I'd definitely wanna get into it.

I have been waiting for the snow to fly!!! We are supposed to have a heavy winter up here (Minnesota) too. I ride a 2010 Skidoo XRS 800R, and my wife rides a 2010 Polaris Rush. We have a few extra's, including a built 2006 MachZ, and a ZR500 with a D&D 711 stroker kit, and a lightly modded ZR600.

Im not going to turbo my 800R, but am looking at a turbo setup for the MachZ, just for running up at my father in laws lake.

We do mostly ditch riding, and boondocking.
