View Full Version : Moving to North Charleston, SC - Looking for input

Howdy 3Sers,

I'm going to be moving to Charleston to work at the Bosch facility for 6 months starting in mid August. I was wondering if you guys could offer up recommendations of where to rent, or where not to. Also, how are the laws over there regarding modified cars, tinted windows, and anything else related to driving? I'm coming from Illinois and Indiana which have fairly different viewpoints themselves regarding the laws.

Thanks for the help! Looking forward to meeting some 3S owners in the area.

Can't help you with most of your question as we're closer to the NC border and have only been in SC for about 5 months. Just wanted to say welcome!!

Yeah, about 3 to 3.5 hours from us....but I am sure we will meet up somewhere sooner than later. We need to start some meets around SC.

I remember the old Myrtle Beach meets back in the day. Any chance we could get that started again? :bigthumb:

OP, stay safe in N Charleston. It's one of the most dangerous places in America per sq. mile. Be conscious of what, where, and how you're doing things. Take it from someone who's been around the block a couple times.

As far as vehicle code enforcement; I have 5% tint, catless 3.5" exhaust, 275's on all four corners & I have never had any problems with the Law.
