Post Grammar
While a majority of the forum's user base is located in the US a large portion of our community is not. These members may or may not speak English as their first language. These people may have the answers to your questions. Because of these factors please do your best use proper English when posting. While using slang and internet slang may make is faster to post it will reduce your chances of getting your question answered.

Basic Automotive Knowledge
This is an enthusiast forum before you start asking how to modify your 3S you should have a working basic knowledge of auto mechanics. If you ask something basic like "Whats oil pressure?" or "How do I change my oil?" expect a less then pleasant response. If your lacking basic knowledge try some sites like HowStuffWorks "Auto" (http://auto.howstuffworks.com/)

Stickies and Announcements
At the top of each forum you will find informational posts and announcements. Make sure to read these as they will contain information you need to read. Failure to read these topics could result in a suspension for breaking a rule or public ridicule.

Signatures, Avatars and Private Messaging

New User Posting Limits
As a new user to our site we place some limits on your posts. If you make a post with more than 5 links/images in it, it will go into the moderation queue.

Selling via the Classifieds sections
You can find the "classifieds" but clicking the "Classifieds" button on the menu bar. Their are stickies and announcements in the classifieds section explaining what you will need to do to sell here.

Forum colors
The default color scheme is not your only option. Their are Light and Dark styles as well. You can change your personal default in the user setting (http://www.3sgto.org/profile.php?do=editoptions). You can also change them on the fly via the drop down in the lower left corner of every page.

Administrators and Moderators.
A who's who of the important people can be found in the "Forum Leaders" link that can be found on the main forums page. A simple way to identify A member of the moderation team is the Style/Color of their name. All forum staff have a box around their name.
Yellow/Blue is Admin
Red/Blue is Super Moderator(aka full forum moderation privileges)
Green/Blue/White is a section moderator

Its a good idea to pay attention to these people ignoring them can be bad for you.

Site Supporters
While 3SGTO.org does have the option for you to become a paid Site Supporter. We do not require that you pay to use the site. If you enjoy the site and want to help support it, its is $10 per year. Their are links for becoming a site supporter in your settings pages. http://www.3sgto.org/payments.php

Hey guys. I haven't logged into the 3si.org place in about the past year or so so I really did not know it got to be so bad over there. I'm glad we have a new place to call home. Unfortunately I no longer have a 3000gt because of an accident last year that totaled it. I wanted to get another 3000gt but no place else in Southern Cali had them for sale(as in a dealer) so I was stuck getting a 2003 Mustang...not the GT version either *sigh*. I really miss having a 3000gt even though I only owned it for about 6 or 7 months before it was wrecked. I do plan to get another one in the near future if I can help it.

It's very pathetic to hear about all the bull autoforums has been pulling. Luckily I never had any problems with the virus. I was very disappointed when members couldn't sell anything without becoming a supporting vendor or having a vendor list the product on their site. I don't think that was a good move to support the "little guy," but again it was all about money autoforums could get from the average joe. There probably would have been more products out there if it hadn't been for this and I know I would have tried to make a few things too.

I hope there's a way to retain the wealth of information from 3SI on here somehow because there isn't a price that can be put on that in my opinion. I've learned way too much not to frequent old posts. I'll be honest, I don't know if I can completely give up 3SI because of the information there but if I had that somehow I'd have no problems making 3SGTO my main forum.

I hope everything pans out how you'd like and I'm glad to see you're still moderating. I'm also sorry for your loss. While I still have my father, I lost my 26 year old sister to cancer earlier this year and I know how hard it is to lose someone in the family. It will get better with time though.

You can log into Paypal and cancel the subscription on paypal's website. Luckily mine expired a month ago because I didn't have any balance in paypal they could grab. The funny thing was that I noticed absolutely nothing different, other than a button to "Get premium".

'04 ION Red Line, Obviously one that works. I bought it Sept of '04 and it never has been to the dealer outside of a camshaft seal recall, to which mine was not bad. Honestly, it has been one of the best cars I have ever owned. It just turned 70K miles this morning and still gets 27+ MPg to the tank in mixed driving with 75 MPH trips on the interstate back and forth to work every day. I have autocrossed it for 3.5 years, track dayed it a few times and it has seen around a hundred trips down the 1/4 mile in it's life. You can choose to believe it or not, but I love everything about the car except winter driving in it... it sucks. I just put it up and get a beater car for the snow months.

your sunroof switch give out yet, and did you fix the A/C ground issue, how many flex pipes have you replaced? her's has 8X,XXX, and has had one problem after another. Oil changes are a pain in the ass, especially in comparison to the stealth. glad you like yours, just can't get a break, i think the next thing thats about to go out is the is the waste gate on the procharger. seriously it's been one thing after another, after another. the funny thing is the only time i liked that car as on 1.5 inches of snow.

I've been a member on 3SI since 2002, and used to visit religiously. Past few years, though, I ceased being a regular. I was in and out every few months, if that. I was actually unaware that the site was owned by anyone other than Eric Lotter. I saw changes on those occasions when I would check back in, but I was unaware as to why those changes had taken place. I've always loved the community, and kept paying the yearly membership fee, even though I didn't often visit. Because I loved you guys.

Probably very few, if any, of you remember me, as I didn't post terribly often, especially in recent years. I have the same name, however, because I am a fan of the familiar.

the biggest thing that pisses me off about 3si is how backyard manufacturers were being forced to dump their inventory onto a bigger "paying vendor". that's translated into the end user paying increased $$$ in prices. while i'm ok with the idea of primary sponsorship, squeezing out the "little guys" because they can't pony--that's just diabolical.

Thanks for the new site, Alan. I have recently returned to the 3si forums (spent the summer over at the Audi sites), and must agree with you that the ads are completely taking over the bandwidth and site legibility. I will gladly continue to support your efforts at this site, and discontinue use of the old site as much as possible. I will miss the historical posts, but hopefully, the meat and potatoes will make it over here.
