Recently bought a very clean Canadian 1995 Dodge Stealth TT AWD 6 speed. The car is 100% original and untouched.
Last owner had it almost since new. Looking for performance mods for it. Always been a car I've wanted to own but never did.
Will be checking for turbo upgrades, intercooler kit and performance clutch as well and maybe even a 6 speed case brace.

I had my first GTO when I lived in Japan but unfortunately I had to sell it. I had to chance to buy a 3000GT VR-4 1991 here in Finland and now I'm a proud owner of a Mitsi once again. My car was sold in Florida when new and 2003 it was shipped to Finland. It's sitting in my garage now waiting for summer. In the meantime I have to do the 120k maintenance and some other bits and bobs too.

I live in iowa near davenport have always liked the look of the 3s cars it took me a few years to find one I wanted mild to rough shape to build myself found one with tranny going out. got it for 2000. got a junkyard pull and replaced the tranny but now it needs motor mounts and some other things to get it going good again. and finally have my own garage to tinker in now looking for parts and good advice on what usually breaks.

Hey guys, I just picked up a steal of a deal on a 1995 VR4. It has damage at the drivers door and fender but its 100% stock and everything in the interior still works. She's dirty, has two paint jobs on top of the facotry paint, some bondo on the hood and some HORRIBLE big chrome rims. BUT OMG I CAN'T BELIEVE I scored her for $500. I've never owned any Mitsubishi vehicles but have always wanted an eclipse GSX. I think this will quench that thirst. I can't wait to restore her back to her former glory. I am just finishing up a long term Honda Prelude build for my daily driver and this couldn't of come at a more perfect time. I am just a hobby tuner, I turn wrenches on my motorcycles but get a little flustered with cars and usually emply my friends to help out there. I figure this build will take 2-3 years start to finish to include stripping most of the back seat area installing roll cage CF body work, getting her back to her original white paint, and last but not least more power. Right now it is all stock aside from an HKS boost controller. 167k miles no leaks that I've found so far but i need to clean the engine still and really get a good look. I look forward to joining this community and thank you in advance for your knowledge and resources.

Hey guys I have a 93 base model 3000gt 190000 miles and the car has recently been stalling when I put it in neutral when coming to a stop the rpms go low then pop up then fall to zero then the car shuts off. Happens when I switch from any gear.however If I push the clutch down after I switch into neutral it won't fall to zero and then I can leave it in neutral and let the clutch go. Put in a new filter yesterday but it still does it. A month earlier I had taken out the first muffler and replaced it with a cherrybomb glasspack (i know I'm retarted)
And the exhaust smells horrible now. Will swap out the entire thing within the next month however. Could that be the reason it's stalling or could it be something like a fuel pump.

I bought this car because it was low milage in excellent condition and garage kept. The moment I saw it I fell in love with it, I like it alot better then the Mark I and II supras I use to have. Hi, I just purchased a 1992 VR4. I've been a mechanic since 1979 and worked for a Mitsubishi dealer when the 3000gt was first announced. Obviously it was an incredbly impressive car for it's time and still one of the sexiest looking cars to come out of Japan in my opinion. I pretty much forgot about them for quite a while till I found this one and had to have it. Just picked it up last Thursday and enjoy the car every bit as much as expected.

Hello everyone. I signed up to this site after hanging around the 3sgto.org Facebook group for a while, as I was added there to provide some input in a few technical threads. I don't personally own a 3000GT, although I have a couple of local friends that do. Alan approved me for an independent vendor/sponsor account for this site, so I figured I'd introduce myself.

I'm an AMSOIL Premiere Direct Jobber, which effectively means I've built a professional and successful business (you don't have to remind me what most dealers are like). I've spent the last three years studying lubrication engineering resources and have planned to acquire an STLE certified lubrication specialist certification after some more experience and studying in the lubrication field. Without beating my chest, I have a fairly good grasp of automotive lubrication and oil formulation. I'm not here to trash talk whatever oil it is you're using, but simply raise awareness of the products we make for this application, answer questions, and provide any knowledge and feedback I can in lubrication-related discussions. As an aside, I'm also a dealer for Diode Dynamics (high end LEDs).

A bit more about myself, my full time job is an IT Systems Engineer, I spend my free time designing speakers (I have a self-taught specialization in acoustics), fishing, and wrenching on my own vehicles. I have 2 kids age 2.5 and 6-mo, a beautiful wife, and live in NW Indiana. I hope I can provide some value to this community. I'm on my second 3000gt. My first, a '97 base, was in remarkable condition until I overheated the SOHC engine. I spent about a year trying to fix it, only to have the end result smoking like a SOB. I gave up, and traded it in. I'm now almost a decade wiser and picked up my first VR4 - a '91 with half the mileage of my old base model. It's got some issues, but that's okay. I intend to chase them down and take this car from 6/10 to 9/10, and then drive the snot out of it.

Hello, I have previously owned two great SL models and finally just got my first real VR4. It's a 97 pearl white in great shape with 160k on the clock all original. Needs some little stuff here and there to make it a real gem but what I am most interested in is finding a Jdm gto gear set and 1st gen rear end to have the better gearing for road racing and such. I never imagined how tall the gears are but the car is still awesome to drive. Please send me a PM or maybe I could be pointed in the right direction to get myself a set as I know that they are pretty scarce accoring to my research. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Previously owned a 1994 3000GT SL, but had let it go when I moved across the country. Here in Cali I found a 1993 3000GT VR-4 that I will likely be purchasing. This time around I expect to own it for far longer and will hang around asking a few questions about what I should be looking for when I go to look at the car, get it inspected, and any future maintenance. I am by no means an auto mechanic wiz. Not even close. But I do know knowledge is out there and I'm willing to learn if it means I can make this beauty last. Hello and happy new year to all! About a year ago i bought two 95 vr4s non running and started a complete tear down and rebuild restoration project, one car to keep and one for parts. I have spent well over 1000 hrs. in the last year on this project and have been driving the car for about 6 months! what a blast it is to drive these cars! My car has been completely gone through mechanically and interior. trying to work out a few bugs before new paint and trim. looking forward to communicating with others on their project cars. I am completely new to forums but have worked on and built cars most of my life and i like motorized things with lots of horsepower!

New to this forum, been a member on 3si for about half a year, been a member on DSMtuners for probably about 5 years, and a member on Thirdgen.org for even longer, though I don't really go on there unless I get an out of the blue PM, since I don't have a Camaro currently, although I would like to get another 3rd gen at some point. I've owned a 3rd gen 3.4 v6 (I swapped the engine) Camaro that I modified moderately, 4th gen 3.8 Camaro, and a 2g Talon TSI AWD heavily modded, in the past, sadly all 3 met untimely demises one way or another.
Currently I have a 93 3000gt vr4 mostly stock, but I will be building heavily once I find a new house, as I really need space to work on, and store my projects. I am already stocking up on many of the parts, jumping on deals when I see them. I also have another 2g Talon similarly modded to my last one, I am planning to hopefully get into amateur road racing with it, it is still street legal, and I plan to maintain SOME streetability with it, while also keeping it on a tight budget. Lastly I have a 92 base model 3000gt, I initially picked it up as a parts car to repair frontal collision damage on my vr4, but I might DD it a while instead as it is still a running driving car. I'll probably wind up DDing it while building up the vr4, and wait till I'm done with the build to strip the base model and fix the damage on the vr4. Or if it blows it up, whichever happens first.
And I'm from Pittsburgh, PA. That pretty much sums it up.

Anyhow I just bought a 1991 Jamaican Blue VR4 with white leather interior. Car is a timewarp. Still had its original Michelins on when I got it. Near mint original condition with just under 26K miles. I'd post a few pics but I can't lol. I'm changing tires, brakes, fluids, timing belt tensioner and water pump before she hits the road.

Couple of questions. Someone on the 3si site said that 'Elderloc' had a way to create repop window stickers? I can t PM him but I am VERY interested. I dont have my original (or the owners manual for that matter. Weird for a low mile car like this). Anyhow I also was intrigued by 'Story Teller'. Somehow no one has a working link for it. Awesome production stats from that database . I'd love to get access to that too. I cant imagine that the entire database went away?

Hi, I'm the original owner of a 92 Dodge Stealth R/T Twin Turbo. First my Tachometer stopped working and then check engine light went on so I did a diagnostic scan and replaced the intake air temperature sensor. The check engine light is now off but now the speedometer and Tachometer don't work. I'm looking for any information on how to diagnose, check and replace the Tachometer Sensor (RPM sensor) or is the Power Transformer Unit (PTU)?

Howdy Folks, I've won the proverbial marriage lottery and my father in law gave me his 93 3000GT Base due to a lose of interest in it. Fully OEM and with the 60/120k maintenance done by the dealership. Its my goal to keep it a weekend driver while putting some life back into it so I have no plans on taking it too far from OEM spec. The NA upgrade bible looks great and I'm sure I will tackle some of the low hanging fruit provided there.

Welcome Tim, I would get the 60K maintenance done, setting THAT long might as well do the full 120K. Change out all fluids, if it an automatic just drain and change the fluid, don't flush. Also change ALL fluids...also new tires.

Mr. Spider-Man! How have you been? Yes those were some crazy times. We had a passing in the family so everything went south. Being in SC was nice and building the factory for the 787 was even better and showing the union that a twin isle carbon fiber plane could be built and delivered was a lifetime accomplishment I thought would never be matched. Then we moved back to the NW that fall. I focused on the new job and got everything cleaned up. I no longer have to "farm" out my ideas to shops anymore.
This 3 year absence is over. I did not have the ability to manufacture parts in SC even farming out and still keep prices and commitments. Hope to earn your business again soon. Things are much more different now, you will see.
