Best of luck with it. Generally people do the 6g74 with custom pistons and the 6g75 crank to get a 3.7L out of it.

Well names David I am from Europe but I grew up in the states in Michigan, now I live in Canada across the Detroit River in Windsor.
I use to own a 92 R/T non-turbo same color as Alan's blue! :) hehe. Funny thing is I did meet Alan back in 2004 I believe it was at Dave & Busters on Hall road. Since I am back in North America again I wanted to buy a 1994 Dodge Stealth R/T Twin Turbo did find one that's still for sale but problem is that since the car is over 20 years old I can't insure it without having another car and putting this one on the policy. Anyways I am looking for a 96 R/T TT I know those are super rare to find. But be nice to find a 94 to 96 R/T TT fully loaded and all original. I did watch a video on youtube that red one that did a very nice 10s on 1/4 of a mile. I'm not looking to go all crazy if I ever do buy one I want it to last forever.
I love these cars. I do online sales for the last few years and expanding my online business. Oh also married and in my mid early 30's I would say.
Anyways don't know what else to add to the forum reply here. So that's about it.

I have been working on and modifying Mitsubishis since the early '70s and own more than 30 of them dating from 1971 till the late 90s. Not much interest for me in anything newer than that although I do work on them. I own two 3kgts, a 93 VR4 and a 92SL. I drive a Diamante wagon with a DOHC and 5 speed swap as well as a 3.8L DOHC in my 95 Montero SR. I have also done RWD swaps using the 6G7x engines and am currently doing another into an '81 Dodge Challenger AKA Mitsubishi Scorpion, utilizing a 6G72 backed by an Asian Warner 6 speed.
I also host the 6G72 RWD forum, not exactly a hopping place but these are not simple engines to swap for most people.

Hey guys, Located in Australia, Just bought a GTO as a new project. Previous car (which i still own for now) is a Mitsubishi Galant VR4 (2.5L tt awd, you know the one) which I'll be selling to make garage space. I picked up the GTO cheap, so plenty of room to spend. Hello All,
Finally pick up a Stealth, a car that has been on my wish list for many years. It is nearly dead stock with the exception of the wheels, and in general pretty good condition and mostly dealer serviced... though I am not so sure that is a good thing as the 60K was done without replacing tensioner, pulleys or waterpump, the belt was loose and the timing was 2 teeth off. - Yes I did correct all this. Not too bad a job with lots of working room compared to a 6bolt swapped 2G Talon. Once that was done, we found significant boost leaks at nearly every coupler, and then replaced Bosch Platinum plugs that were way past due even though the dealer parts showed they were less thank 10000 km old. Fixed a couple other minor things like 3 broken wired to the drivers door connector, and replaced the power antenna mast.
Now the fun begins. To come or already on order, WBO2, boost controller, Vacuum hose delete, exhaust (suggestions for best downpipe?), new ECS Struts, Tein S or H springs, Cloned ECU, Evo Injectors and possibly turbo's... Just to keep up with the kids Talon... Oh yah... I am supposed to be doing a ground up rebuild on the Barracuda too.

I just bought my son a 96 3000GT SL. He's 16 and lucky to have a dad that's an auto enthusiast!
I owned a 94 Stealth RT back in 2005 so I'm somewhat familiar with these but as with all forums it will help to join a group and see what's going on.
One of the first things we want to do is lower and I already see that's not as easy as buying springs being it's a 96 power sunroof model so right off the bat I'm researching that.
Glad to be here.

New to the forum here... Basically new to the 3000gt as well.. Havent seen many of them, but when I was in Korea I seen a GTO and fell in love with them! I've had a few 2gen eclipses and one 3rd Gen, and an EVO 8 and 10.. For a while I got out of the whole car thing, but recently my brother had asked me to fix his Z32, which had a terrible misfire, so I diagnosed and came up with the solution of injectors and fuel rail. Long story short (sorry), I kind of want to get something now and start a project. I have decided on a 3000gt... With some time, money, and lots of patience I believe they have great potential!

Hello,
I need diagnostic wire for 1994 Mitsubishi GT3000 WR4 Twin Turbo.
It's not standard Mitsubishi GT3000 ECU, it have two plates inside, In front of it written: C-S type E2T61372-P, part No MD 192588, 10MHz-CPU M37798 CPU, on the sides written: big number and small number 2588 E 2T61372. ECU have connection (blue one, named YAMAICHI FAP-40-07.028B), I need for this connection diagnostic wire.
Have you diagnostic wire for this YAMAICHI FAP-40-07.028B connection for this ECU?
Is there possible to attach photos?

I'm Justin, and i'm an alcoholic...
ah S*** wrong forum...
same concept really, I spend all my money on something that may one day kill me, I call it a 3000GT VR-4, I play videogames professionally for a living and stream on twitch, that's about it, I also go to school, but who really cares about that? Hopefully I can help some of you out with problems you're having, buy/sell/trade with people here
I've run every TD04 popular turbo, not including lesser popular options like 14t 16/17g/t/z(whatever letter you can find to put after it) mainly 9b 13g 15g 19t DR750
I've run EVO III 16Gs
I've tuned using SAFC-II, ARC-2, accompanied by AEM, and SNOW Performance WMI kits at various injection nozzle sizes and have safely made in excess of 600WHP on stock crank/rods and wiseco pistons
I've had the unfortunate task of replacing quite literally every sensor in a VR-4 during a very dark part of my life
I can answer most questions, but there are a few sections of the vehicle i'm no guru with, but i'll do my best to help

05-20-2015, 11:12 AM
Hello everyone,
I am Josh and I live in Grove City, OH. I had a 95 3000GT base model for almost 9 years and then finally bought a 92 VR4 around the end of January 2015. So far, my VR4 is pretty much stock with the exception exhaust modifications (3SX down pipe, gutted cats) and a Ninja Performance transfer case cage.
The plan is to build up a 4 bolt 3.1L built block with forged internals and run 15G turbos all on E85 within the next year, looking to build to 450-500awhp.
I'm mostly an enthusiast more than a mechanic, I do a lot of my own work still. I work in the IT field, which also means that I know how to use this magical place called Google which has most answers to most questions.

Hey everyone. I recently purchased a 1994 Mitsubishi GTO (Z16A). I live in British Columbia. There is a couple of things that I need to do on th GTO so it can pass inspection: 1 - install a clutch switch and, 2 - daytime running lights. If anyone has any experience with this, please let me know. The clutch switch seems to be the tricky part. The bracket that holds the cruise control switch only has room for 1 switch.

First and most important, I am a complete computer clod, don't understand most terms- stickies and such. I am learning, slowly though, I've had my cell phone sence early 2007 (had a bag phone before that) and last november I found out it had a flashlight, so this pretty much sums up my electronic use skills.
On the other hand give me a wrench, die grinder, or other hand tools and I will do things that I've been told you can't do. (not trying to brag ether). Back in the mid eighties & nineties I used to work with a friend, Norm MacNamara, he has passed now so I don't feel giving his name should be a problem. He was the biggest Abarth collecter on the west coast, one of his cars was the Abarth 027 race car, open cocpit prototipe sports car. We had to pull the #1 piston out becouse of to much leakdown, they only made 2 1/2 of these cars with a 2.0L 290hp engine at 9300rpm. There was no book or specifications, every bolt was marked loosened, lubed, retightened, and logged for torque or streach. The time required wes huge but was completed without issue.
I could go on for houres about Norm he was a great guy but this is a Mitsi site & if I understood this section correctly I'm supposed to let you know about me. I'll just go over my vehicles & end it there. 91 Stealth RT I'm modding a little now, 1992 VR4, also just got done parting out a 93 VR4, gota love spare parts, 1979 928 Porsche, 1963 Corvair Spyder (my dads old car) 1965 Corvair Corsa 140. These are my project cars, I have others but those are kinda boring.
Hope I did this right otherwise go ahead & laugh at me, I can handle it! Thanks for listening.

First of all, this site is kind of a pain in the ass to get fully operational. I am an engineer and with that in mind I always read and ask about everything I plan to do before I screw it up, hopefully. So expect to see my face. I am a fair hand with a wrench and have been all my life. Now I have this Mitsu 94 3000GT base and for openers am going to do a 120k service with VSS and front main seal with a silver seal micro-sleeve. I 'd love some help but one way or another I expect to tiptoe through it. I appreciate your wise counsel.

Hey guys,
I just joined this site so I could do some more in depth research on the vr4 and the turbo stealth. Looking to move from my 600rwhp supercharged car to the turbo awd club and these are 2 cars on the list that I've always liked and aren't too expensive. I will likely just be a lurker for the most part as i tend to wear the search button out before ever making a post.

I am new to this forum, but not new to the 3000 gt . I have two cars. A 95 SL and a 94 VR4. Some of you may know my son who got me started with the 95SL when he was 15 yrs old. His user name on the other forum is Moogly4321. He is Mike. He does not do much with the 3000's these days because he is too involved with school and his future. However, these cars and my instruction in auto mechanics has made him very good with cars. Probably more than me in some areas. I am not a mechanic. However, my childhood and early teens were filled with taking apart cars and sometimes putting them back together. My father had a small auto parts and junk yard and he had me help him. He also worked in the Shipyards in Superior, Wi. It was a hard and meager life for him but he always said he liked what he did and that I should do what makes me happy and I will have a happy life. I was able to work hard also and through hard work and lots of good fortune I have a DDS degree from Marquette University. I still love working on cars but not as much as I did in the past. My Dental practice is in Waukesha, Wi and because of my children and my abilities I have a very modern, high tech dental office where I provide modern computer based dentistry for my patients. You asked for a little background and now I would like to make some new friends on this new forum. I was involved with the 3SI club in the Milwaukee area for several years but have not done anything for quite a while. It would be nice for my wife and myself to get involved again. I hope to hear from some of you.

Hello Everyone,
I am new to this group and I wanted to introduce myself, recently I fortunate enough to acquire a Black 95 Spyder VR4 (that is in very good condition) from original owner as well as all documentation. I have owned two 92 VR4's prior to the Spyder with about 350 K driven between them (still own the Green 92). I must say that I have really enjoyed driving this machine over the past month and I clearly understand the appeal of these vehicles now.
I have a few things that I would like adjust over time to make this Spyder suit my personal taste such as changing out the rims, springs and possibly a Deft 575 hood, my goal is to keep the car for the most part stock except for a few bolt on parts that can be switched back if needed.
I currently am trying to see if anyone has some advice they could share on a larger rim setup for our cars as I am not a big fan of the stock rims.
Currently I am looking at the Team Dynamics Jade R rims and from what I understand is that there are only two possible rim sizes available (19 x 8.5 35mm offset) AND (19 x 10 with a 20 mm offset). I would like to have a deep dish look as much as possible as in this picture below "specifically the rear rims". I was told by local shop that I could use 245-35-19 or 245-35-19 with these rims
Report this image
but I am not sure if I will have any problems with clearance of brakes/suspension/wheel wells as my car is stock suspension. Again I would like to lower my Spyder using the Tein S and H springs which will drop the car about 1 1/4 inches from what I understand. Basically I want to make sure that these fit before I order.
Also if anyone had a lead on a Deft 575 hood I would be interested in it as I am not able to get any response from the Deft website.
If you have any advice on these items I would appreciate your time and if anyone is in the SFO area send me a PM.
Thanks
David.

Hello,
Yesterday I purchased my first 3000gt- Previously I was big in the KDM scene, but after my second engine went on my 03 Tiburon, I decided to get something different. I found a black '94 3000gt SL, five speed manual, with 92k miles on the clock. It needs some TLC, but the engine and clutch/trans are running strong. Joining here in hopes of reading and learning from other people's journeys with their cars.

I've come here looking for others who respect these cars, particularly the Dodge Stealth. I've owned a 1995 Stealth R/T since 2007, and have loved every minute of it. It is a blast to drive, and makes me feel super in control of the vehicle. I hope to find some other Stealth/3000GT enthusiasts on this site, so I can develop even more appreciation for my car.
Thanks!

Hello,
My name is Sean. I'm new to the 3S community, but not cars, tuning, or motorsport. I've joined your ranks to acquire knowledge on the 6G series V6's as well as the 3S's AWD system. I will acquire this knowledge through steadfast use of the search function and read all pertinent stickies before posting.
Now that I've solemnly promised to not crap up the forum, I suppose somw background is appropriate. I live in the East Bay, in CA. I'm a veteran of 8 years of service as an 11B in the US Army. I'm going to school for automotive training, because it's one of my biggest passions. I own a '93 RX7 and a '05 Neon SRT-4. I involve myself in motorsport from SF region SCCA auto-x to Wednesday Night Drags at Sonoma Raceway. I also try to make it to 6, or more track days a year. I don't care about setting any records at the moment, I do it for love of the game. Additionally, I try to take a drive every so often through our scenic Norcal back roads. Finally I do almost all my own work, I really only go out of house for alignments and tire mounting. Everything else is done by me.
Why join the 3S forum? Well, about that...I've always had a soft spot in my heart for Mitsubishis. Especially 3kgts, DSMs, and early Evos. So, between that and the fact that I'm about done with my neon, I figured I get info here pertaining to my new project idea. I like the utility and passenger room of the neon, but it's FWD. I'd like an AWD car. So I came up with the idea to swap the 3S's drivetrain into a Mirage. Then put early Evo body panels and bumpers on it. Voila, Mirage VR-4. So that's pretty much it with out making this post more of a snorer.
Happy Motoring,
Sean

Has similarities to the old Jacquemond kit, but is way wider.
Maybe email the guys at ASO-motorsport? They are out of Ukraine, but they have an English site.

Hi, I'm completely new to forums and just bought a 99 3000GT from a guy who's owned it for 13 years. Base car in white with a 5 speed. Just doing some cosmetic stuff right now because the car is mechanically sound. 91000 miles. I have been looking for an owners manual online with no success. Any help would be appreciated. When I figure out how I will post a picture.
Thanks

Hello everyone, i recently aquired a white 93 3000gt, and i'm going to be picking up a 91 stealth parts car tomorrow, just joined up for some sweet sweet knowledge.
Hi, I own a 1993 Stealth/RT. Bought it new, it has 77,000 miles on it. I have a few minor problems with the car but overall I love it and want to keep it. I hope your forum will help me keep it in good running order. I live half time in Rhode Island and half time in South Carolina.

Hello, just joined to access this wealth of knowledge. I just picked up a '93 Stealth TT/AWD. It's belonged to a friend of mine for the past 10+ years. It runs pretty good but it's kinda rough looking. Just getting started researching and planning how much time / $ I want to dump into making it pretty again.
I've done the turbo Honda thing, even have a like new Precision SC34 with fresh ceramic coating in the garage from my last part out. Also into rock crawlers, welding and fabrication. I go by NocturnalFabWorx on Facebook and such. Definitely potential for a cage in the Stealths future. I've got a lot of parts interchange questions, but I'll try to spread them out into the appropriate subforums. Thanks

I have been around these cars since about 2001, gone to some of the original National Meets, drag raced, broke, fixed, and cursed them, and like so many of the "og's", I still like building and driving them. Currently building a drag car out of spare parts, and trying to get rid of some parts overflow.

Had my 1992 3kgt since I was 14 years old. Love the car. I got a show-quality paint job, got it lowered, and 3.5L swapped. I have been asked if it is a ferrari a few dozen times. Got some electrical issues i'm trying to sort our, so...here I am
I was a 3si'er back in the day (8-9) years ago, but it seems pretty dead nowadays. I don't think this site was around back then, so i'm excited to check it out
