any tips for installing new axles? (fwd mtx na)
i know how to get them in and out
and i know how to get the inner shaft off (tried it on another)
how important is it to replace the seals in the inner shaft? good grease to use? etc..
i usually take calipers and rotors off, but hear there is an easier way taking the control arm apart

plan on doing this soon
i'm sure i can do it, but looking for any useful tips, info

Unbolting the control arm is easy compared to having to do all the other work.

Oil up the sealing surface on the new axle before installing. If the seals arent leaking they will be OK. If they are oozing then replace them while you are under the car.

i ended up just replacing the ds axle, and reusing the old inner shaft assembly without doing anything other than smearing a little bit of grease on it. it seemed fine.
replaced the axle seal on the trans also, that was easy to get out and not to bad to get the new one in.
for $3, might as well. had to be better than the original that is now 20 years old.
