I would have bought a 1G DSM AWD as that is what I wanted before I got my first Stealth. I think regardless I would have gotten into another platform that would be a big money pit so I would probably just not know what I was missing by driving something else.

What beats everything your dsm or your sl??

My FWD TT (94 SL) beat everything on the highway. I know there are plenty who could beat me in my state, the US and elsewhere but in my town everyone I raced I destroyed. My SL had about 470whp, was 2860lbs and had a 5 speed AWD tranny in it. When eway racing, starting at 65 in 3rd and going to 150 I destroyed everyone. I only ran 11.87 in the 1/4 mile with my SL but it was plenty faster from a roll on the eway. I beat several cars that had 10 second timeslips. It had fast spool and the AWD gearing is awesome for the highway, along with light weight and being FWD.
My DSM is good for the 1/4 and thats it.

I buy them broke also and fix them myself. Bought a 92 Stealth TT and rebuilt engine to BPU, 92 VR-4 and rebuilt with 4 bolt block, 3SX rods, Wiesco pistons, new 13Ts and recently a 95 VR-4 for a winter project.
All three cars and repairs: less than 12k

I could have traded my Lancer GTS for a Lancer Evo and paid the difference in cash and not suddenly have an acne problem from the stress of owning a 3s. But I'm married to the 3s platform and I knew when I purchased my VR4 that I needed to keep my Lancer if I planned on getting to work everyday.

Fixed up a supra that I got for free, then sold for $5500 to get my first turbo stealth. From there I have had a lot of part outs, free cars, ect.
