Hello all, first thread here at 3sgto so I figured I'd start it out interesting. Does anyone have any statistics on how many cars were painted with the p03 paint (sorento red pearl metallic). Also if possible how many had come with pinstriping. Ive seen quite a few 3/s' in my day but never personally come across another with the same paint.

Stealth 316 - Stealth/3000GT Production Guide (http://www.stealth316.com/2-production.htm) is a good source for production numbers by color code, couldn't see any P03 mentioned though...

Hey Tony! Post up a pic so people know which color you mean :p I've never seen another one the same color in person, but I do vaguely recall maybe seeing one in a picture online.

Gtox, I'm not 100% positive but is it possible this was a 3000gt only color?

ah I like coop. ironic that you did the robo/angel eyes too, what color are yours? they look purple!

Really? I just looked at the link gtox posted and the only other red pearls that came out in 91 for stealths were Kutani Red Pearl, which is a different paint code but possibly a very similar color. Anyone own a car with the paint code R25 / RA5.

First gen should be single stage paint, so that may be a cheaper option but I'm not sure if they match.

First gen Stealths had 3 stage paint, 1st gen 3000's had single stage :)

I have a 1st gen stealth door that I thought was a match to mine.... NOPE! Close but no cookie...

I believe it was single stage as well, but not positive.

thanks for the chime in rt/93, i knew the 3k's were single stage during first gen production. Its funny to me that the stealths wouldnt be either, but nonetheless great info to know.

I looked into the Kutani Red Pearl and it seems to have the same look as the Sorrento except for in the sunlight it turns into quite a visible red.

Anybody have any info on the pinstriping? Its been on the car as long as i can remember and i know my father (original owner) wouldnt have put it on.
