Just ordered my caliper rebuild kits for my brakes. perfect, arrived in 3 days from the USA! Fantastic. However they are HORRIBLY wrong. Now, I have stuffed up here as I should of taken off my caliper first.

However, I purchased these under the VR4 listings.
Now, this is what I ordered;

Thinking nothing of it....taking my pistons out of the caliper, realizing I need the rebuild kit listed BELOW it.
This one;

Why o WHY are there 2 different (totally different) parts listed? Now I'm $60 down the fucking shitter, which I really cant afford right now so I'm gonna have to see what rockauto can do. probably nothing really. But Now I'm stuck with $60 worth of useless crap.

So yes, why are there 2 very different part numbers?

Good question. Rock Auto is strange like that.

Sorry to hear that.

Do you have 1st gen TT brakes?

I would like to know because I also need to rebuild the front calipers and would need to know which kit to order..

Did you just order the 2nd Gen kit instead of the 1st Gen kit?

The pistons are the same size weather 1st gen or 2nd gen, so it doesn't matter really

But like I said, after taking apart my calipers (all of 10 minutes, holy shit that was easy) I could easily tell I had the wrong kit.

After getting back onto rockauto.com, it is CLEAR the 2nd link I have listed is the right part. Just shits me they have 2 kits listed, and 1 obviously does not fit at all.
And yes, I do have 1st gen TT brakes.

I know this wont help you now, but when I had my front brakes rebuilt a few years back, the mechanic ordered the kit/parts locally.

I would send them back and order them from Cherry Hill. At least with and OEM part number you know you're going to get the right kit.
