They look like HDR shots, or a really good fill flash. Great shots!

The shadowed and sun lit areas are very detailed, which is not easy to get. What camera?

Just a cheap Nikon S8100 that I originally bought to take on vacation; also takes pretty decent HD video as well. Honestly though, I think the camera does a pretty good job of 'framing' the picture (if that makes sense) but the colors look pretty washed out and flat until I do a few very minor tweaks in Phototshop - color balance, shadow/highlight and contrast - takes about 30 seconds to do. It may take better pics if I knew anything about the different settings/adjustments, but I've never cared enough to learn, so I just leave it on Auto....
