I'm running the leaked 2.2 right now. Pretty nice, more gains than bugs, but I would like to flash it to a different ROM sometime soon, something deodexed. I just haven't had time.

I've heard Win 7 is supposed to be better. With that said, I absolutely hate Windows phones that are out currently. Windows phones have more problems than any other phones I encounter. With data fees being the same, I'd stick with an Android based phone or Blackberry 8530/9630 for better reliability.

I have held off on getting a Droid phone for a Windows 7 phone. I have had my HTC Touch Diamond for about 2 years now. Being that its my first windows phone i have really enjoyed it. And i hope the wait for the 7 phone is worth it.

Waiting for November/December and I am getting one. Have been watching the write ups for a few weeks now. Pretty interesting.

xbox live? Zune software... fast as hell, full integration with Windows. Office... Honestly a smartphone is a smartphone in my eyes.
I dont want to have to use things like itunes... Android isnt bad but I am waiting to see all the options. reviews are saying win 7 phone os is awesome.
They will develop tons of apps for it just like android and iphone. Plus more usually. and i wont need to do stupid junk like jailbreak it and have apple whack me on my hand like im a little kid all the time.

It may, and I stress may end up with a larger app market than the iPhone has depending on how popular they become. Android market? It won't touch it.

I'll stick with my OG Droid until my upgrade runs out and by then I'm hoping for some Dual-Core processor, LTE capable Android goodness in roughly a 4-4.3" screen. Yes please!
I've never played with a Windows phone. How does it compare to Blackberrys, iPhones and Android? What all is different?

Myself personally, if all things fall in line, should be getting a free Galaxy S Android here in about 2 months. Do like.

I have had WinMo devices since the monochrome days. Glad to see they are catching up with the times and making a touch friendly device. Loving my Samsung Captivate right now. The movie quality far surpasses any phone on the market now.

android market? Touch it? I won't ever count Windows software out... MS makes it so easy a chimp could write software and they integrate tight. Alot better than Android. Visual Studio is the bomb... Honestly there are only so many "apps" you can write for a phone.
We all have the same stuff... otherwise its just fluff and timewasters. Even winmo has tons of apps.
You don't have to worry about versions, what are you running 2.1 or 2.2 android? Oh it wont run on 2.2... none of that mess.
There will be a billion apps for Win 7 phones and fast. Unless you somehow think people dont write software for Windows... :)

I'm pretty happy with the Moto Doid. Froyo sucks but I'm not going to complain. I miss my old menu

I'm not talking about the ease of making an app for the Windows market, which is much easier than the iPhone market. I'm saying I don't think it will come close to the Android market do the huge popularity for Android phones and the rapid increase in Android phones month-to-month.

Seems you are quite sure about this. I'd ask for reasoning behind, and by all means, but I have a feeling we'd hear your rabid Windows fanboi rant. I talk to, on a regular basis, not only to customers that explain what they are looking for, but the people who decide marketing for cell phones on a daily/weekly basis. I don't know of one of these people that would not laugh hysterically if I said Windows phones will take over Android phones anywhere in the near future.
PS: Just because something comes off as appealing to you, doesn't mean it will to everyone else.
EDIT: Let me site my sources for your reasoning and we'll let the crowd decide.

With this, a transforming Dell laptop, you think the iPad will go bye bye. No doubt.

i never said the ipad will go bye bye. Its going to get regulated to normal apple levels.
Android will do good, but its a 4-5 phone OS game... win7phone is just getting back in thats all. You guys are funny, no one writes apps for windows! I agree!
so far winmo has ben a real force to contend with.....

For all of you Droid people, are any of you concerned with your usage data being collected by Google?

Concerned they'll take it to make an even better OS for smarthphones, yes.

I guess I'm just more of a fan of certain things staying private and not having my info sold off by another entity for them to profit more off me. I guess that's how they can afford to market the technology in those phones so inexpensively.
