Gun Collectors?

So, I like cool old guns, military especially so I thought what the hell, why doesn't 3SGTO has a gun collectors thread (I didn't look very far if there is) and so I figured I'd post and see if anyone else is into this stuff.. I don't have a collection yet but its something I've always wanted to do and today put 100.00 down on my first gun.. (I bought a brand new AK47 today at a local pawn shop) with 100.00 I still owe 450.00 on the deal.. It comes with a bayonet, a case for it, a sling, extra clip, cleaning kit, and some little OD Green pouch.. Don't have pictures because I don't have it yet, but I can't wait to get to shoot it.. hahaha

Hopefully it wasnt a garbage wasr-10 those things can be good if hand picked but a lot are junk. Wasr10's can also be had for about $350 where I live and even online. I have a decent collection Im just about to head to bed though so I wont get into it just yet. Post some pics of your sure to be wasr and any info you can get on it. Lets just hope you didnt get taken too hard.

I just started collecting two years ago. So far a Plainfield M1 Carbine, SIG P220 and SP2022, and a Winchester Model 150 .22LR. Next on my list are a G3/Cetme and an AR-15 or SIG 556.

Go sig 556 I have one along with 3 friends, I served in the army and used m-4s for the longest time along with the old style m16s and the sig rips the ar a new asshole in reliability and accuracy. not to mention its just plain badass.

I work for a police department and I can get brand new AR-15s for 700.00 through them..

Don't have mine yet.. still have a little to pay.. its on hold for me.. but this is what it looks like..

Yeah, Ive been hooked on SIG ever since I bought my P220. I tested a Kimber 1911 Classic, S&W M&P, Colt Police Issue, XD and liked the P220 the best. I think I would much rather have the 556 too. I dont need to be tacticool.

Heres a video to check the basic condition of it, if it pass's all the test that guy mentions I would say you only overpaid a little bit but not too bad because most can be had for 300-350 for the gun and 350-400 for gun and everything else.

I almost bought a mosin nagant.. but the pawn shop was selling em for 130.00 a piece, and they were way heavy compared to the AK47.. I was worried about the cheap cheap price and decided against it sine I didn't know anything about it..

$130 is overpriced I get them shipped directly to me for about 85-95 depending on how many I order. All of the ones I got were in perfect shape too, as a matter of fact one of them shoots sub MOA with iron sights at 100m

Thats crazy.. what the story on the Nagant? and where are you buying these were you're getting them so cheap?

The Mosin is a solid rifle. Just check the rifling and bore. Incredibly cheap ammo and makes a helluva flame when you shoot it.

You can go to any gun shop and find them. I wouldnt pay over $100 honestly.

I get mine off aimsurplus (Russian 1891/30 7.62x54R Mosin Nagant Rifle (http://www.aimsurplus.com/product.aspx?item=F3MOSIN9130)) thing is without a C&R permit (type of ffl costs like $30 to get) you cant get them shipped to you. They would have to be shipped to local shop and then they will charge however much to do it for you. shipping is like 18-20 for 1 rifle then after that its like 4-6 extra per

The FFL you got is it the Collectors of Curio and Relic (C&R) Firearms license? Since they're old military rifles?
