Chat feature

I'm not sure if it has been mentioned before, but have you thought about implementing a chat room feature? Maybe just another tab at the top next to Arcade that opens up a chat room page or something of that sort. It seems like there is a lot of comradery on the site and I think it would be good for not only bringing in more traffic, but also cutting down on all the off topic posts people put up to get their names out there.

This server can not support it. (We've gone over the monthly allowance every month for the last 4 months)

As soon as I have the time to upgrade I plan to add one.

A built in IRC chat shouldn't pull that many resources.

I don't think it will be so much the actual chat feature as it will be the additional people sitting on the site to use the chat.

A built in IRC chat shouldn't pull that many resources.

Maybe even a java chat or something like freenode. Not sure what the server allows though.

I'll be using one of the shoutbox mods for the forum. Totally integrated.

Bandwidth is not the issue processor usage is. But thats ok, the upgrade is not that much its just the time to do it.
