Hey guys, this summer I really want to get my N/A stealth into the 8s I was hoping I could do so with 13Ts. Could someone drop some knowledge on me as to what else I would need. Thanks in advance.

I wouldn't waste your money on the 13Ts, 13Gs should do it. Just go blowthrough with an SAFC, MAFT, AFPR, solid mounts, HIDS, hotwired pump, fuel rails, and you should be set. If your FWD you'll have to be a good driver, though.

I believe its entirely possible to get this car into the 8's. maybe I should pursue a different drivetrain to make this happen. I was told a Nissan GTR drivetrain will allow me to get 0-60 in just over 3 second. A fast 0-60 speed is essential for the time I want.

If you can somehow make the cars drive wheels be on the right front and right rear only, i think that would counter the torque steer produced by the FWD's and allow you to go straighter.

Would there be any way I could reinforce my ring lands? Ive heard of forged pistons but is that enough? maybe I could weld some type of frame on the inside of my pistons that would allow them to better withstand the stress of a high performance engine. That brings me to another question, what psi would I have to run in order to get into the 8's.

Forget rims, what you need is to rep the Dominican flag out the back of your hatch. When air hits the flag, it turns it into a TD05-68323 (Billet, septendecuple ball bering, 28,000cfm) turbo, propelling you into the .5's.

Of course, this only works in the Brooklyn/Ohio area.

Okay we all know 4 cylinders are more efficient, especially one with V-TEC so we need to do everything we can to be more like Honda boyz. Now we don't have V-TEC, but we to have MiVEC so that will have to do. Get MiVEC heads from a 6G72. It doesn't matter which 6G72 it came from, just get them and bolt them on. Now that we have the engine set up and you've installed your turbos you can remove the honey comb from the MAF. If you feel like it just gut the whole thing, sensor and all since the worst that will happen is it will dump more fuel in. For extra fuel you can just use a 1/8" drill bit and drill a hole in the bottom of the injector since this is all you're really getting when you buy those 1000cc+ injectors anyway so if you have a steady hand and a good drill you can do it at home for free. With all of this fuel you can remove the wastegate actuators all together and JB weld the wastegates shut so you can have maximum power.

Here's the biggest secret though - we need to convert the engine to 4-cylinders so remove 2 of the front spark plug and wires since those are the easiest to get to. Just pick 2 of them. This will also give the other 4 cylinders 50% more spark power since the coil packs don't have to juice up those other 2 cylinders.

You're now ready to take 8's in the half mile and make land speed records at the Texas Mile!

On the off chance that this really was asked seriously - and to add some actual value to this shitshow:

The amount of time, energy, and money it takes to drop a drag time by one second is not a linear function. Each second faster you get, the more work it takes to improve the next second.

Going from 16 seconds to about 13 seconds is relatively easy. A 13 second car just needs a decent amount of power - reachable by simple bolt-on parts - and the driver learning how to launch properly and keep the car straight.

13 seconds to 12 seconds is still mostly engine work. As you get into the lower 12s you now have to be paying attention to engine management.

In the 11 second range, the motor needs to be sorted. You're looking at aftermarket turbos, larger injectors, engine management, and proper fuel systems to feed the injectors.

From 11 seconds on downward, the motor starts to be less important, in that the techniques used are, for the most part, the same as you used to go from 12 to 11, but the parts are just bigger and more robust - bigger turbos, bigger injectors, bigger fuel pumps, and standalone EMS instead of piggybacks. Individual motors may have weak links that need adressing, and if you try high RPM as a way to stretch the powerband, valve springs, cams, and oiling start to become issues, but in very broad strokes, if you can build a 10 second motor, you can probably build a 9 or 8 second motor (it just takes more money and attention to detail)

But around 11.0-ish, driveline issues start to be big deals. You're now making enough power that getting it hooked up is getting tough, and if you do get it hooked via slicks or suspension tuning, breakage and reliability start to become increasingly important.

Into the 10s, now it isn't just getting it hooked and keeping it together, it's now about the car running straight under full power. That problem gets progressively worse as the times drop. Once you start crossing into the high 9s, you are looking at a cycle of a change that hooks better, but breaks shit. Then you fix the breakage (maybe) but now it won't run straight. Then you fix the handling and now you're faster - until you add more power, and start the cycle again.

At this point - 9.9-ish - you are breaking transmissions, transfer cases, and axles fairly regularly. Depending on the current driveline state of the art, there may or may not be off-the-shelf products to solve these problems, and the OTS products may not actually solve the problem, but just reduce the frequency the problem occurs. So you are either funding a lot of R&D to strengthen these parts, or you are rolling the dice and hoping it stays together for another pass. You are also fighting for 2 tenths at a time or so - there is a HUGE difference between a 9.9 and a 9.7.

At some point, you can't just band-aid the problem any longer and have to start thinking about a completely aftermarket and non-OEM based driveline.

And really, once you are thinking single-digit ETs, the easiest and cheapest way to do it is buy an off the shelf Pro Stock chassis, drop a 3S body over it, and run a 3S motor to a Lenco and Ford 9" rear end.

Building a mid-11 car is a solid accomplishment and is better than about 85% of what most people do. A 10.99 car is well into the 90th percentile. Faster than that typically takes a shop of your own and a big cheque - or a customer of a good shop and an even bigger cheque. An 8.99 3S is a $100,000 car - maybe not $100,000 in parts, but certainly that much in time.

This is why you are being mocked so mercilessly - you have grossly misunderstood the level of effort and money it would take to meet your stated goal. It is on par with going to the Olympics or starring in a Hollywood movie.

Not that it is impossible - after all, people DO compete in the Olympics - but an 8 second car is far from trivial.
