My clutch isnt disengaging all the way anymore. When I push int the clutch and try to crank the car I hear what sounds like a leak of air. I look down and see a little bit of fluid on it on the front and some behind it on the firewall too. I gust rebuilt the master cylinder a few months ago, though I cant seem to find the gasket that goes from the mater to the firewall. I reused my old one with the aid of some silicone.

So you guys think its that gasket or the actual booster? If it is the gasket, where the hell do I get it cant seem to find it anywhere.

Its on my 94 TT.

And btw, in case anyones thinking it. Yes Ive replaced the slave.

If the booster was leaking it would only mean that the clutch might be a little harder to depress but should have no affect on the clutch travel overall. The booster is there to assist in taking some of the effort away from your foot.

Goto http://stealth316.com then click on "Garage" then look for "Tips & Tech" and read the article I wrote titled "Clutch Not Disengaging Problem", 11 items down that list.

It explains a common problem that you must check out first before attempting any clutch adjustments. There is a bolt, that if loose, will make it impossible to properly adjust your clutch. Check that first.

Good luck

I saw that article a while back about the bolt. Checked it, its fine. Actually I discovered fluid on the master itself. Apparently the line that goes into the master, the one you need the 10mm crows foot for, wasnt fully tight. I turned it a 1/4 turn, and I think the fluid that was on the booster may have just been left over from before. Though I havent got to test it out yet. But Im confidant that fixed it. It helped at least. Thanks though.
