View Full Version : Suspension Fitment Using VR-4 Suspension on N/A

This is for my girlfriend's car, as I'm not super knowledgeable on N/A fitment of parts.

1996 3000GT Base, no sunroof, no ECS, all stock suspension.

She'd like to lower it with coilovers, but is ultimately going to swap into 2G VR-4 brakes (hubs, etc.). Obviously the added weight of a VR-4 is part of what makes the VR-4 coilovers sit at the height they do, but its obviously adjustable, so height isn't particularly an issue.

The question is, will the VR-4 coilovers fit an N/A with 2G VR-4 brakes/hubs? Also, when doing the brake conversion, will we need the lines from the VR-4 or can the N/A lines be retained? (obviously going stainless, its a non-ABS car)

Just a few posts down, should help:

The fronts should be the same and the rears are different, but I'm fairly certain the VR-4 rears can be modified to fit an NA. I have VR-4 rears on my FWD and I think a different bushing is installed or something like that (I bought them already modified).
