About time! Where the hell have you been? What is the current status of your 3S? Both Dillon and I are down at the moment :lo5l:

So a few of us are going to US41 on April 17th and you need to come with 3S or not!

Hahaha, well I'm in the club with you guys. Mine is down at the moment. What time on the 17th? I might be in Indy but I can swing by 41 on my way back up

How much did that set you back? Where are you going to mount it? If you have problems with it I'll take it off your hands

lol i'm mounting it below my battery tray, and it was 134 from summit.

That's not bad at all. I bought a new battery a few months back and I'm kicking myself now. I was planning on a battery relocation, now I'm debating on one of those...

a vendor on here, STM or something makes a relocate kit for this battery in particular, he makes one for in the engine bay and one in back IIRC

Yes I did see that, it was very well done. However for it's purpose I think I can make do with something a bit cheaper. I'd still relocate the battery, however the size of the battery would give me a lot more options for relocation. Saving weight and cleaning up the engine bay would be really nice. If it works well for you I'll buy one.

i'm not putting mine in the rear though, i'm going to try and tuck it under the battery tray....and then tell everybody my car has a solar battery in the sunroof lol

Why be a poser? Just buy a Toyota Prius and be done with it, haha... Yeah I think I may do the same thing. Although having easy to reach jump points may be important. Especially if the battery doesn't crank well in the cold or hold a charge after a few days, just a thought...

you're supposed to be able to store this thing for two years and it will hold a charge, and I don't drive in the winter so i'm not overly worried about "cold starts"

Any luck with that return line?

The new plates for my flywheel arrived today! Hopefully I can find some time next weekend to put everything back together.

Yeah I wish I could help. I miss working on my car and this weather makes it that much worse... How long did it take you to swap the rear turbo? Did you reinstall the heat-shield?

Shawn...

i got rid of that POS, and the rear turb was sooooo easy, most of the problems i'm having are from the housings being bigger.

I know your post is from 2011. When did you live in NWI?

I'm from NWI, currently in Indy.

Alex, I lived over 25 years in Indiana, between Wabash and Anderson. Guess it's more "north central to north east" Indiana, but still. Back in those days, the highest concentration of 3/s owners seemed to be in W. Lafayette--P.U.

Ah, I grew up near Valparaiso. '98 - '07 then West Lafayette '07-'10.

Living in Indy now. What time period were you in The Region?

Bought my first vr4 when I was at PU. Think it was 1999 or 2000 when I bought it. Now back in Indiana again but down south.
