I have been receiving many emails, texts, PMs, and facebook messages from people wondering where I have gone and if everything is all right.
So I thought I would take a moment to bring everyone up to speed. Not that it's ground breaking or that important. But I still get contacted with "What's going on?"
I stopped working for 3SX on December 15th.
Vicki and I moved to our house in the country with 11 acres in South Carolina.
We are renting out our house in Concord NC.
We are both doing great and are both very happy with where our lives are at this point in time.
I must also say, thanks for all the concern:o

Thanks for the update man, glad everything is going well.
Continuing with the South Carolina theme, you should visit Myrtle Beach sometime. We are getting a mega ferris wheel right on the beach ;)

Eventually we will make it to MB. Just hasn't been time for us. Still trying to adjust to SC living.

Are you still pursuing tuning, or going another path?

I hope that doesn't go for the cars too. Good luck in your new adventure.

I heard the rumor but the last thing I wanted to do was pry into your business. Doesn't mean I don't care though. Glad to hear you guys are doing good. :)

Oh, forgot to mention. There are ZERO inspections in SC. No initial inspection, no emissions. Nothing. You just go to the DMV with the title and register it. 10 minutes later tags in hand it's all done.
and Cmon...who wouldn't love this? This is in front of my house. And a mile or so down the road it gets all curvy and crests and dips. Oh how fun it is to take the VR4 around the country roads here.

Thanks for the "pat on the back" I greatly apreciate it. And yes, Matt is a great stand up guy and still a very good friend of mine.
As for IPO, as asked in the 3si thread and I answered:
5 Years ago 3SX purchased importpoweronline.com/Import Power Online from me when I started working for them. So that will not be coming back, besides, 3SX let the url domain name lapse and a Chinese company purchased it. So now neither of us have it :(
-Chris
well let's just hope that topspeed atlanta can get my car tuned properly; because if they don't i have ZERO other options in this region. :(

I was wondering what happened to importpoweronline. I purchased a couple items from there, a number of years ago, then it was gone! I am glad to see you're still adding information and still "around"; I have been reading your informative posts from many moons ago from old site. Guru's don't hear it enough, but you are very much appreciated by enthusiasts that need guidance.
Also, wanted to add; glad you aren't having issues with crazy dogs! Gleaning through that thread was difficult!

I was wondering what was the deal with that. A while back I clicked on a IPO link or looked it up and I was like "what is all this?"
Getting tags here is the same, go to the county clerk and walk out a few minutes later with tags.

I hope everything works out for the better. :) Any automotive related jobs you're looking at or making a career change too? BTW, Vicki what do you do for work? I guess I never knew.

As posted on 3Si from the same questions being asked.
Retirement? I am only 42:p
Put it behind me?
I have been working on cars for 25 years and on 3/S's for 10 years. I have learned a lot in my years and look forward to learning more every day. I am not going anywhere:cool:
Racing? It's one of my biggest passions. Look back at when I ran IPO, I lived to hit the track, almost every weekend. Even if that meant tearing down and rebuilding with used NA parts (again) to make track weekend. Good times. I wouldn't just drop that. It's time to get back to what I love. Helping people with their rides, and beating the hell out of my car down the dragstrip.

It's just who we are.
It runs deep.
Anyone that has to ask does not get it.

And one that loves the 3S and wants one to call her very own. ;)

sounds like milt's wife. ;)
chris, you've got enough know how; you should start her with a rolling chassis, paint it the color she wants, and then have her help you build it for her from the ground up. :)

It would have to start the color she wants, mainly pearl yellow VR4. And you can get a nice blown engine 3S for so cheap, why start with a chassis?

Just be sure you know what you're getting yourself into. When the mod bug bites you and the wife and the same time, things can get ugly either for the bank account or your sanity
Best of luck Chris and Vicki. Life's too short to do anything but what makes you happy! Hope to see you guys at BRG, NG, or somewhere soon!
