ECS or non-ECS Suspension

I am looking to change out my suspension in the near future.

Should I stick with the ECS suspension or change to something else? Which kits would you guys suggest? This is a street car that may see the track a few times in the year, but nothing major.

Are your struts still good? I never found myself using the ECS except at completely random intervals so since my struts are shot I decided to go w/some non-ecs struts and am doing away with the system. Saving a couple bucks by not getting the ECS struts too :)

Yeah ECS really isn't needed. I never use mine unless at random intervals just to feel how bumpy the road really can be in sport mode lol, or when I'm showing off my car to a buddy I'll switch ECS modes. Unless you use it all the time I'd save a few bucks and get KYB GR2's if you plan on lowering with springs or something, or any other non ECS strut of your fancy. I plan on deleting my ECS system just so the capacitors don't wig out and cause more problems down the road, and also since I plan on lowering the car on my tein springs. I'll keep the ECS struts till they blow and then just buy some KYB's or something.

ecs is not only soft / sport. It adjusts the shocks all the time depending how you drive your car and it works ! Been driving both and i can tell you there is a difference beetween non ecs and ecs.
non ecs is horrible .

Nice numbers, I've never seen those. All I will be able to compare my soon-coming non ecs to are 150k mile ecs struts.

I don't think my struts are bad, just my strut mount. I am planning on replacing the strut too with a stock ECS one.

Otherwise, I was going to replace it all with some coilovers. Maybe I will do that later since my ECS works fine, just have a stupid clunking noise every now and then.

clunking when going over bumps and stuff usually means the strut is bad. The ECS could still switch back and forth, but if the shock/strut is bad, it really doesn't matter whether the ECS still functions or not, a bad strut is a bad strut.
