Ditto. 3Si has been in a steady decline over the past few years so I'm not sure how this whole new batch of mods/supermods/admins is going to work out. I've been keeping fairly quiet there because I'm sure if I said what I really thought I might get banned myself and I'd rather not do that.

I have a feeling that a lot people who are really the source of the 3Si knowledge base are going to abandon ship when they see the bough break, if they haven't already done so. There's a lot of stored knowledge on the site, but once people who generate that information leave the bottom will fall out. Granted not everyone will leave, but that kind of loss is akin to wealth-generating tax payers getting fed up with the federal government and forming their own state where their earnings stay out of reach of funding huge entitlement programs for the non-producing derelicts. When that happens the whole thing will fall apart. Is 3Si headed that direction? I don't know.

He is going through and deleting a few of my posts. He didn't agree with me saying his response was chocked full of excuses for lacking tact. Apparently you can be admin edited across all sections of the forum for simply disagreeing with someone, even if it is respectfully written.

The problem comes into play when you start banning longstanding members for posting links to another site. Granted I would not come out saying "EVERYONE GO HERE 3Si SUCKS!!" because that is just plain ignorant and will get backlash. Alan's subtle e-mail was enough and you know if people want to go to another site they can.

3Si is run by AF as a profit venture and I'm sure Nadeem and others are auto enthusiasts or they wouldn't be in the business. I understand them wanting to keep paying vendors and traffic to get paid so I can't blame them for that. Striving to be the best forum and avoid the drama is the best way to stay on top. So let the best forum win. I'm all for free market capitalism. Let's make no mistake in the opposite position UT would be editing LW's posts if he took a stab also. LW just has the bigger stick right now. I don't agree with libs in almost any political basis or logical basis, but as long as that stays in appropriate thread and forum I have no issues. When that flows beyond that point problems start, others are affected, and the smack down will happen. That's just logical and rightly so.

As far as changing avatars that is a little overboard as long as it isn't offensive and doesn't say something like "3Si sucks go to ____ website instead."

With that said, let the dust settle and stop causing trouble on 3Si because it isn't good for 3SGTO, it isn't good for others participating on 3Si, and it sure isn't helping you. If this site really is better because of its core beliefs and founding, then let it succeed on its own merit and leave drama at the login screen.

Wrong. I've never been an instigator. In fact, if you want to look in the general section, go look at my post on page 55 of that thread about saying goodbye to 3SI, when I finally weighed in on what was going on. Then, a page or so later, LW finally decides to post, and for some reason, mentions me by name in the first sentence. For what reason?

He's a lying dick and has been since day one. Once I moved to FL though, and saw firsthand a few of his lies, he didn't bother me anymore, he's just a sad individual, trying to make himself seem important on an internet forum. Very quickly, the rest of 3SI will see this... as evidenced by Alex's post. The posts that he edited of mine were certainly nothing worthy of it.

1st: Good to be here. I am starting to get a little more motivation with my car so browsing the 3S boards more instead of moonlighting over on NSXPrime.

2nd: I think someone may have made reference to this on the other board. Moderation in my mind is like a referee. The best ballgames are most memorable and enjoyable when you cannot even tell if there are refs out on the field. If there is a ref blowing the whistle every 5 seconds, the game tends to suck. a racial slur, however abhorrent, should not mean you are not welcome here-permanently, I've heard just as bad insults from many other members on the board over the years and noone got banned for them. A suspension maybe, but not a ban. Last i heard we have the freedom to speak in this country, we used to have thicker skin than we have now. When all races stop using the slur, then we can outlaw a word.

My last post on 3si was telling Nelson he was an idiot. He was telling an ATX AWD NA guy that it was fine to rev up his car in neutral then slam it into drive. Jesus! The poor kid probably went out and ruined his car. :(

Wow. I did that to break a trans in an Eclipse I had. It had a 6 month warranty with purchase and the trans started slipping 2 months into ownership so I figured I have the warranty I better make sure I get to use it.

A month later my car was at the shop getting a rebuilt transmission. :lol:
