What: Blue Ridge Gathering 2011
When: May 12/13-15 (several of us are attending Thursday - Sunday!)
Where: Fontana Village Resort, North Carolina
Why: To drive the Dragon, of course ;)

This year we have reserved eleven 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom Laurel cabins. The rate for each cabin is $149/night. The group rate EXPIRES March 12, 2011.

Please reserve your cabins under GA3SBRG11 to get the group rate.

8 of the cabins are actually two 2 bedroom cabins that are connected with a door that you can open to make it a 4 bedroom cabin. These are still reserved as 2 bedroom cabins, but you can request an attached one if you want.

Hey guys,
This year is a little different because of the date change, but a spring gathering will be lots of fun just like past spring BRG events!! I know that May is a busy gathering month (UMG & ECG), so I am very sorry if this date change has effected travel for some of our attendees that go to these other gatherings. It has been pretty stressful trying to find a weekend to work with everyone's schedules since our recently traditional last weekend in July won't work with the hotel this year. Please note that next year BRG will be the last weekend in July again.

Oh no, sorry! They are reserved for our group until March 12, but each cabin has to be reserved/put a deposit on by attendees orcelse they're put back out there for non BRGers to rent at a higher rate!

Uhhh..... Well..... I sold the Red Stealth a couple months ago! I was starting to run out of driveway space when I got the 93 TT frame. Plus I needed the money to buy parts for the TT.

I just have to work out the small bugs, Do the evil eye mod and paint the hood, and tune the car completely!

Technically, last year was the last SEDD because of the lack of interest & how I have to pay out of pocket to rent the track. A few people talked me into SEDD11 being the last SEDD, but it's not going to be a spring event because of the date change of BRG. It's not on Silverdollar's schedule because the date has not been set.

Yeah, unfortunately, our normal weekend wasn't available this year. So, we went back to a spring date like many years previous.

Well my car is progressing pretty good. The weather is going to play nice so I should have the paint done in the next week or so. Then I have to fix all the little oil leaks that keep popping up and finish the tune. Unless something else major breaks between now and BRG I should be driving it out. Yeah..... :)

Rick and I did a single due to health reasons. There are single cabins within walking distance. Not much cheaper than the double, and then some last year stayed at the lodge I think. Either way, looking forward to seeing everyone!!!!!

The roadcourse is the Cherohala Skyway. The Dragon is more of an Autocross. Reminds me, the drive in to work today was soooooo boring. :(

My GoPro case fogged up a bit so part of the video is a bit hazy..of course it's probably the best part with me and Dan going all out for a good stretch. Still probably worth uploading though, just have to chop it up so I can upload it to youtube.
