Hey everyone,

I'm getting things organized for the 2011 Upper Midwest Gathering. This year's event will be May 20-22 in Wisconsin Dells. A couple of new things this year. First, if you are planning on staying either Thursday or Sunday nights, you can get 20% off the cheapest rates at the Baker's. So if you get the cheaper non-lakeside double queen rooms for $68 a night, then your Thursday or Sunday rate will be 20% off the $68. This would apply to Thursday or Sunday or both.

The other new thing will be an extra rural cruise that we'll be doing on Friday morning. We'll be running the ferry boat cruise backwards on Friday morning. Then we'll run it the normal way on Sunday. So if you've been thinking about staying that extra day, come out on Thursday night and run this new cruise with us on Friday.

I have the page up at: Upper Midwest 3/S Gathering 2011 (http://umg.mn3s.org)

So you can get signed up and get your hotel room booked. The UMG is on!!

Hey everyone,

I've updated the sign up list. We have 39 people signed up now: UMG sign-up list (http://www.mn3s.org/upper-midwest-list.html) I'm still expecting to have 50 3/Ses there again this year.

Don't forget to get your hotel room booked. If you get your room booked now, you'll have the best selection of rooms. Only two months left now!

Hey everyone,

Just heard back from Baker's Sunset Bay Resort. Looks like we only have 11 rooms reserved so far. I'm expecting we'll have 35-40 rooms booked. What are you waiting for?? Baker's website is: Sunset Bay Resort: Welcome to Baker’s Sunset Bay Resort! (http://www.sunsetbayresort.com/) When you call, make sure to mention the MN 3/S car club to get our discount.

Our sign up list is up to 48 people. I've also added the tentative schedule up on the page at: Upper Midwest 3/S Gathering 2011 (http://umg.mn3s.org) I may still mess with the schedule a little bit.

I checked in with Baker's Sunset Bay Resort. We now have 18 rooms booked. If you want the best selection of rooms, you should really get your room booked soon. If you wait until the last minute, you'll be stuck with the higher priced rooms.

Baker's is actually adding on to the resort this year. Should be really nice. The most important thing for us, is there should be more parking! The construction will be done by the time we are there. Baker's has some pictures on their website with the new additions:

I've also updated the sign up list. We have 54 people signed up now:

Only one month away!!

Hey everyone,

The UMG is only 2.5 weeks away now!. I still need to do some finalizing with the schedule. That will probably get done next week. I do know that we'll be having our Friday night dinner at Marleys. They just moved to a brand new location.

The sign up list is at 58. Check it out at:
UMG sign-up list (http://www.mn3s.org/upper-midwest-list.html)

Get that hotel room reserved. They are going fast!!

See you in the Dells,
Curt

Hey everyone,

The UMG is only a week away. We have 35 hotel rooms booked and 61 people on the sign up list. But its not too late to decide on making the trip to Wisconsin Dells. Just get signed up and call the hotel and get a room. Don't sit at home when all your 3/S buddies are having the time of their life. ;)

Alan at 3SGTO has given me three $50 gift certificates to give away. Thanks Alan! So we'll have some nice prizes this year!! We'll give these away before the cruise on Sunday morning.

Don't forget to bring your FRS radios for the cruise. They are a lifesaver sometimes on the big cruises.

I've finalized the schedule, its at: The Schedule (http://www.mn3s.org/schedule.html)

See you in the Dells,
Curt
